the truest of Notre Dame men. I hope he locks down a starting spot for the Seminoles and has a great year (minus 1 game) and I hope he's involved with ND football in some capacity moving forward.

Seminoles, hear this: Dillan will always be one of us.

Live look at Greyhammer when I saw Gibbons referred to as an "FSU lineman" in all the ESPN puff pieces:

Man, wish there was more of that for folks to see and appreciate. Nice example of being a great human being and caring for your fellow man.

Kind of interesting to read the thoughts of what was going to compromise the starting unit based upon performance in the spring. Spindler was penciled in at Guard yet we've barely seen him play at all.

I don't recall him playing. I think they were experimenting some in the spring to see if he might be a viable option. That plus some being injured/banged up gave them a chance to get him some meaningful reps with the first unit.

Didn't watch much of the FSU/LSU game but the first play I saw was a Noles TD where they ran behind Gibbons and he cleared the way.

He's using a Covid 6th year like Lugg is for ND.

He actually made All-ACC Honorable Mention last season.

Maybe they let the wrong guy go?

Patterson could still be at OC and Zeke would be on the bench instead of double teaming a DT with Kristofic while OSU's Hall has a free lane to get TB12.

He was at least serviceable last night, which is more than I can say for Correll on Saturday.

While I'm definitely down on Lugg and Correll, Gibbons definitely had a far easier task with LSU losing their best defensive players early in the game, and LSU's defense just being....not very good to begin with.

Overall, I think ND just needs to bite the bullet and put Rocco in at RG and put Patterson back at center when he returns. Just zero reason to have Correll and Lugg out there for experience sake if they're going to be the least assignment sound players on the field.

Fun to watch him tonight. I feel like FSU got a lot of value out of him

He’s one of very few guys I can recall transferring out of ND and having more success afterward. Kudos to him, seems like a class guy—especially with his “Big Man, Big Heart” nonprofit.

He’s a Notre Dame Man that right now just also happens to be an FSU man.

I think he’s had a huge cultural impact there and you could argue he’s been a catalyst in their resurgence
