Added, he's an interesting prospect. Watched his film a week or two back. Considering 247 hasn't even rated him yet, I think he's criminally underrated at this point. However, not sure if he's an offer now type of player.

Notre Dame wants to land some elite talent in the secondary during the 2016 cycle and getting one of its top overall targets on campus this month surely helps its chances.
The Irish coaching staff is looking for size and length at the cornerback spot this cycle and Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic four-star Damar Hamlin fits the mold.
The 6-1, 175-pounder has informed Irish247 that he will visit South Bend for the March 21 junior day event at Notre Dame. Hamlin first picked up an offer from Notre Dame back on Nov. 11, 2014.
Ohio State and Penn State are two major contenders to the Irish for Hamlin's services. He has already taken multiple trips to Columbus and State College. This will be Hamlin's first trip to South Bend.

That has to be at or near our best single day recruiting event, right? Still not near Bama in terms of pulling power but that makes me very happy.
12 of the Composite Top247 as well for Junior Day with 3 more in the weeks surrounding. I really hope 75% of these kids actually make it.

He was never a definite. He was invited and going to come if his Bball team didn't keep winning. I'm assuming they kept winning and thats the reason he won't make it.
