because that's what is happening...

Really? So Harbaugh has told him that he's not wanted because another RB is coming? And he's still committed? And Evans is the one who is being forced out, not Enis? Are you sure?

Michigan commits don't official to Purdue because they think Purdue is better. The writing is on the wall

they have 2 big backs currently committed in Falcon 6-1/215 and Enis 6-1/200...Evans isn't the type of RB he has ever used...kareem is 6'1 210, evans is 5'10 185....im just reading the tea leaves...maybe i am wrong....but i think michigan grabbed what they could at the beginning and now are starting to cool on people

I've been saying this for a couple of months now. This is going to happen with some, possibly a lot, of their class if their success continues or he lands other players. He's pulling a total SEC style class.

There have been a few people on here who were guessing this (in general, not this specific player) might happen when JH took so many middle rated kids so fast over the summer

Talk about a let down. I have a scholarship offer to Michigan, but I'm going to have to check out Purdue now.

From a football perspective it's a letdown, but at least the academics are there at Purdue. Hazell is probably loving this. Evans fits the mold on the type of back Purdue usually ends up with.

Why you guys acting like this doesn't happen? I feel bad for Chris because it seems he was pushed out and I hate it for these kids. but I recall pushing out Mattingly and Jamel James

Jamel James couldn't get in, he chose to commit and then not do the work. Mattingly wanted to take visits and we said that if that was the case then we should part ways, pretty mutual. Not saying we haven't done this but certainly not as much as Harbaugh is about to. At least if he gets his way.

Jamel James ended up at Texas State, FWIW. That wasn't because he was bad at football.

exactly. I can't think of one time we have straight up kicked a commit out of the class. Like you said Mattingly may have been have the closest but he wanted to take visits anyway and a I think he would have ended up at Oregon anyway

Don't recall the news on James but I'll take your word. Mattingly more of the case I think the staff let him go, if we really wanted him we would have sent coaches to see him during the bye or any coach to visit him. I understand what you mean on Harbaugh sounds like they are gonna let Reese go as well.

HUGE difference between really wanting, player X, and kicking out said player from the class. Very different scenarios.

Yep, he is now. Petrino recruited him at Arky, so a reunion of sorts

People shouldn't be surprized Harbaugh is letting some of the lesser star recruits in his class go. He did this EVERY year at Stanford. Sometimes he had up to 8 kids in one class decommit because basically Stanford stopped calling them.

Harbaugh pulls the classic guy move... Gets hot and heavy with a girl (Recruit) but once something better comes along, they ignore them hoping they just go away

Getting pushed out for 5 star Kareem Walker I assume. Harbaugh setting the precedent of pushing commits out early in his tenure I see.

There must be something going on with another DB or WR, I would assume.

Evans wasn't recruited as a RB. From the day he committed it was as an ATH to play either slot WR or DB. Harbaugh likes the bigger RB, and Evans is 5'10, 180 soaking wet.

I'm assuming this probably has more to do with Penn State CB commit LaVert Hill. Hill's brother is a starter at Michigan, and he's making his 2nd straight visit.

I really like Evans' game, very shifty with the ball in his hands, hoping he still sticks in this class as a slot WR. Don't really have any WR's like that on the current roster.
