If I'm Henry, I wait until Winston declares whether he is coming back or not.

If Winston bolts, you have a Jr, So., and 3 freshman, and probably a JuCo/transfer competing for the starting job next year. Therefore, you come in after at least one guy has gotten a big leg up on the 2016 job.

If he and Golson both stay, ND looks scarier to me. Since Zaire, Kizer, and Wimbush, look like better competiion than FSU's crew (assuming no stud JuCos or transfers).

Obviously Winston is leaving.

Scout: will announce whenever comfortable but also said he may announce within the next couple of weeks or month. It sounds sooner than later.

Basically, his announcement could come as early as sometime.

If Malik Henry makes it in, do you think he leaves with FSU as the favorite?

Good chance of that. Notre Dame leads entering the visit though.

I doubt that us beating their ass all over the field is going to help them !

Malik Henry Talks Florida State-Notre Dame Game (Premium)

Did not make it to the game, as was expected. Also missed most of it. Plans to make a decision as soon as possible, but still plans to reschedule his FSU visit and giving lip service to OSU.

I think he's Irish before Thanksgiving. Just a hunch, though.

Reliable poster on II who has an "in" with Henry says he's been told ND is in great shape with Malik and the Wimbush commit doesn't bother him.

From Gorney at Rivals. Malik is still trying to get to FSU prior to making a decision. However, that visit looks less and less likely to occur. They are getting into the meat of their schedule and playoffs. Malik will decide before his season is over so that visit becomes pretty important. If he can get a trip scheduled he'll decide shortly after that trip but if he can't he may make a decision in the next 2-3 weeks.

I hope he visits FSU before making his decision. Last thing ND nation needs is another BB or Tillery situation.

I hope we don't get the decision followed by visits! Had enough fun with that problem this year.

You beat me to it- Damn work getting in the way of me posting!

I don't understand his rush. He's a class of '16 recruit. It appears time is actually on his side.

While the visit before a decision would be ideal to ease our concern, let's not forget that Malik has already been to FSU's campus. Granted not for a game but he has already been Tallahassee and has seen what they have to offer.

Yes but was he able to truly experience an FSU night of crab legs, bb gun fights and jumping up on tables yelling obscenities.

I can only imagine what a night would be like if Jameis was your host.

I agree to some extent. From everything we've been told we seem to be in the driver's seat. I think the lack of visit has to do with him already having a good idea of where he wants to go and to some extent a lack of desire to see more of FSU.

He's only a junior so he's in rush to make a decision and if he truly wanted to see FSU before the decision he has all the time in the world to. You have to like where we stand based on what we have heard and from what we've seen.

If you're a QB, you want WRs, OLs, RBs and TEs to match your talent or at least not impede it. WRs, RBs and TEs seem to find where the pieces for success are in place. Given those 2 approaches, as a QB, it makes sense to commit to an elite or ideal program early so you can attract the other talent you want (since they're looking for a school that has the QB taken care of).

Unlike at least Tillery, though, Florida State isn't Malik's hometown team.
But, I agree, he should look around to his satisfaction before committing anywhere. Recruits rushing to meet self-imposed deadlines always baffle me.
