Honestly I don't see him having a career in the NFL maybe staying at ND playing RB or WR isn't that bad if he was up for it ? Chances are he still leaves

Bahahaha LMFAO

Lot's of Irish fans are going to have trouble piling on UCF now.

I knew it two years ago.

They still won’t have a resume. I would definitely be a fan however. Still nowhere near as high on them as you seem to be

not high on them. i'm low on a system that claims to represent 10 conferences, but really only 5. and favors one.

Bingo. CFP was even scrolling their propaganda across the scoreboard at the championship game that EVERY FBS conference has a shot.

About the same shot as buying a lottery ticket....

No doubt. I did read on NBC Sports app that the Mountain West edged out the AAC as the 5th ranked conference by the CFB and thus earned a slightly bigger payout. Truthfully, I didn’t know the CFP paid out every FBS conference based on final computer ranking. They also pay out the Independents & some FCS schools though details weren’t mentioned why/how.

Before this recent news broke I thought that Oklahoma would be a good spot for him with their QB transferring and Rattler not coming in until fall camp.

But UCF is run heavy to establish the pass and will sling it around to receivers who get separation. Would be a fun offense to watch.

There was a power 5 conference that ranked 7th or lower?

You thought OU would want Wimbush? No offense to Wimbush but that’d be a big failing upwards.

From an outsider fan perspective, I don’t like his chances at UCF. Mack is just a good (maybe better) runner than BW. I don’t know which one is the better passer but BW has had more opportunities to get it right & continues to struggle.

Ok, so to ask you a question back, why do you think other posters suggested Penn State? Is that a reasonable guess, in your opinion? Honest question, interested to hear the response.

I look at it in the sense that I would like BW to have the best opportunity possible, so why not OU if we are suggesting PSU? The circumstances for OU changed from Playoff team to losing Kyler and then Kincaid their backup QB. All they have left is a 3rd string QB, walk-ons and Spencer Rattler, an all everything prospect who won't enroll until fall camp so they are going to be looking for spring ball. Rattler also got kicked off his HS team so there's some smoke there too. Who else is available on the transfer market? Fields is going to tOSU and Martell hasn't played a down yet, plus he's got more than 1 year left if they want someone as a placeholder for Rattler. Jalen Hurts is out there too, so he'd be reasonable for OU.

If you think about what BW does well is airing the ball downfield. Consider his passes to Stepherson and not his wide receiver screens. OU runs an air raid offense where they get wide receivers in space and the QB can take off running if the first read isn't there. BW does great with receivers who get separation, he will not be good with back shoulder passes like Ian Book to Boykin. I think it's a good offense for his skills since OU has some good wide receivers.

So, long post, but why do you think that OU would be unreasonable? Granted they might not have interest and he may end up at UCF, but it's not like I suggested something outrageous like going to Clemson and he'll beat out Trevor Lawrence.

Penn State is only getting pub because he was once committed there. Wimbush couldn’t throw it around in NDs offense, he most certainly cannot in OUs.

To add, PSU were tops released as betting odds, not because insiders in the know knew anything. It was purely because of his one time commitment.

hmmm...interesting.

UCF said they aren't ruling out Milton playing in '19 if he recovers (personally I think it's doubtful, but how incredible would that recovery be). If Milton goes I think it's a non-starter; BW is riding the pine unless he gets hurt again.

Even if Milton sits out all of '19, Darriel Mack Jr. still filled in pretty admirably I thought. I'm surprised he would transfer to a school that will have that level of competition. I think BW could beat out Mack Jr more than likely, but that's not even a given.

Yeah don’t love this choice. Wimbush could definitely flourish and is more talented but you’re choosing a school where two guys have a head start potentially.

Why wouldn't he be? I would understand it if he had an ulterior motive, such as a great MBA program given how astute of a student he was at ND, but UCF doesn't appear to be it.

Overall university rank: 165th. (ND: 18)
Business school rank: UR (ND 31)

https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/ucf-3954

I wish him the best wherever he goes. Maybe he just wants to head south to warm FL and live it up a little, but that has never seemed like his MO.

If he's looking for a shot at the league, competition, relative to the quality of the football program he'll be attending, i.e. conference prestige, SOS, etc., should be the first thing on his mind, because it's clearly not an academic play if he heads to Orlando.

Considering he's probably not going to have a NFL career, i'm pretty surprised he isn't trying to go to Duke, Northwester, Vanderbilt, Ga Tech, Cal, etc... to get a top ranked MBA. Maybe he figures fuck it i'm not going to be able to do this ever again so might as well go to a school like UCF.

Going to Florida didn't work out great for Golson or Malik, hopefully BW has more success. Don't blame these guys for heading south though after 4 years of Indiana cold. Live it up for a year and enjoy the co-eds.
