Ipso facto, Farrar is either calling it quits and going to Wisconsin, of he's visiting ND this weekend. Right?
Probably

Still think we land him. We have a much more favorable depth chart, and our atmosphere vastly exceeds theirs. Both major factors when deciding. Only thing Stanford has going for them is connections in the Bay Area.
But who knows? Farrar is still more than likely the backup plan if/when Reid commits to Stanford.
Mike Frank is hearing "it isn't sounding promising" on Reid. Thinks the pull of Stanford + his brother's proximity and his mother being able to travel there will be too much to overcome.

The only bright side is that I think Nicco will be a lot better than people give him credit for. At the Nickel most likely.
I can't see Nico ever playing safety at Notre Dame. Will be a great leader and special teams guy. I see him playing a hybrid nickel role and playing closer to the line.

Man, what a swing and a wiff. Hope he ends up at LSU.
Talks a lot about being a little brother, and still waiting on people to see he's his own person. Not in a negative way. Only talks to his bro once a week. Says also a lot of his family wants him at LSU. Dad is president of the L club.
I think this could go any of the 3 ways. ND has early PT, academics, and gets him out of the shadow of big bro. LSU offers family and SEC bigs. Stanford offers bro proximity and academics.
Sounds like a thoughtful kid.

More like watched two strikes then finally took a big hack at the third pitch but ultimately wiffed. Moral of the story, stop getting involved so late on these guys at positions of need.
Does anyone think that with his eventual committing to Stanford would make the other safety commits rethink their commitments?
There was talk not long after Ben Edwards commitment, that his recruitment wasn't over, but I haven't heard anything since.
It had more to do with admissions than whether they'd all want to be in the same class together. He was admitted and then shut everything down.
We need a rangy FS so bad in 2016. Have a bunch of strong safeties now
Yea, I really like Farrar as a player and will gladly take his commitment but as has been stated on IE already he's a SS or could even grow into an LB which I think he'd be really good at. With that said Mykelti had 7 INT's this year and I think is better in coverage than people give him credit for. Ashton White as well, he doesn't have the length but he'd be a great cover guy at FS. None are ideal fits so, like you mentioned, it becomes a major priority in 2016. Lastly, Redfield will be here for 2 more years so we have some time to find his replacement.
Is Mykelti a FS? Or will he just have to play FS?
I'm assuming it'd be Farrar at SS, Mkyelti at FS, but I was under the impression they're both really SS's.
