Should be cleared academically with grades and ACT scores. He's already OV'd to Georgia, Auburn and Alabama and he's visiting LSU this weekend. So, we are vying for that last OV with Ole Miss.

That would be awesome! Having Tillerry DT and this kid filling his spot at OT would be a huge coup.

Per Andrew Ivins of BGI (now rivals) they're expecting him to get a bump. He was very good down in San Antonio by all accounts. Surprised they didn't do it already.

He is also one of the kids that reclassified into this class so that may be why their rankings are a bit different.

Bone thinks CVO ends up at Bama and expects CVO to commit by the end of the month. Guess we will see.

Any school would make room for him.

Especially Alabama. They are the kings of making room:

"Jonathan Taylor was admitted to The University of Alabama following the same procedures that the UA Admissions office uses to evaluate any student who has dealt with legal issues. The admissions process includes representatives from academic, legal, student affairs, student conduct, UAPD and counseling. Athletics is not involved in the admissions process. Taylor's continued enrollment depends on his ability to fulfill all requirements the University has specifically mandated for him during his time as a UA student."

Culling human beings like bass out of the livewell in a tournament has a gross feel to it. Maybe it happens everywhere but boy you sure seem to hear about it way more at "roll tide" then even at other evil empires like ohio state. For me it is the fact that year after year for about five now that when they hit their limit they are still balls to wall 'cruiten $$$. I mean if it was one or two special commits a year and a greyshirt or two a decade it would be one thing but it sure does not seem like it is. But also i really do enjoy ttt so nothing personal.

I concur with this entire post.

Bu to be fair to TTT, I think the Alabama fans were just as surprised about Saban taking Taylor, as Auburn fans were at Malzahn missing him. Auburn is "second chance" u.

I didn't agree with the Taylor decision. I am all for second chances for people that make mistakes, but I think Taylor crossed the line. If he can turn around his life and make something better of it, then great for him. But I would rather he had done it somewhere else.

Who gets pushed aside for Alabama to make its quota?

Who gets pushed aside for Alabama to make its quota?

Because they'll make room for him?

Prior to the Class of 2015 and any transfers, Alabama's OL has four OTs, 3 OGs, and 3 Centers. The Class of 2015 has four verbals at OG, none for C (247 classifications), and one OT(Womack), who flipped from LSU. I think they are done at OG/C, perhaps more than they have targeted. In play for other OTs is not only COV but Isaiah Prince, both ot whom they would take.

If both Prince and COV commit, they have twenty-eight commits. Bama is also pursuing a twenty-nineth, a WR, Daylon Charlot, who has Alabama as his favorite, but is a Louisiana resident with LSU a possibility.

They have overrecruited at CB (four verbals with five current CBs), at OLB (three verbals with four current OLBs) at NG (three verbals with five current NGs), at DE(three verbals with three current DEs) and at OG (four verbals with three current OGs) and at RB (two verbals with five current, counting Scarborough). Two of the DEs are classified as WDEs.

Without accounting for transfers, academic casualties or injuries in the current Alabama players at those positions, the four in the Class of 2015 who would probably be among:
Brandon Kennedy (OG), Keaton Anderson (OLB), Montrels Custis (CB), Matt Womack (OT), and either Christian Bell or Anfernee Jennings (WDE).

Four of those six are Alabma residents. All are three stars.

The most likely attrition of current players is at RB and NG.

I'll also post this under the Oversigning topic

If we get a visit, our chances are about as good as anybody else. Guy is practically ripe for the picking. That being said, us against 4 other SEC schools never ends well for us.

Yeah, that's what I am hearing from most Bammers. They were a little embarrassed and chalked it up to the OSU loss.

I agree with the second chances, but I think that is what Troy, and S. Alabama, and La. Monroe are for... Getting kicked out of UGA for assault and then getting a schollie to Alabama is a lot more like a mulligan than a second chance!
