Ya he wants to follow in Richard Sherman's footsteps apparently.

Nope, not that type of kid. Basically wants to be the next Sherman-type cornerback in regards to play.

And why shouldn't he go to Stanford? I can't name a corner from ND that has been that good or even close to Sherman the last few years. I think K. Russel has a good chance but nothing has been proven yet.

Sherman wasn't really as good as Sherman at Stanford (for many reasons, as many have pointed out).

NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - Richard Sherman

OVERVIEW
Sherman is a size prospect with some good intangibles that will help him mold into a contributing backup corner for a press-heavy team. However, he does not possess the natural coverage instincts, fluidity or burst to be considered a future starter. Is comfortable and capable in press man, using his size to disrupt receivers' releases off the line, but doesn't show enough make up speed to consistently recover when beaten. Awareness in zone and off-man are only adequate. Has average ball skills but some upside as a playmaker. Tough against the run but still developing from a technical standpoint. Sherman is a Day 3 prospect.

That said, I have nothing against Stanford. Great place.

Fair enough. I guess he sees Stanford as a place where Sherman developed a base to excel in the NFL if that makes any sense.

Either way he's favored Stanford for a while and he's a very academic focused kid. I wish him the best.

didn't harbaugh demand that sherman either move to corner (from wr) or transfer because he couldn't stand him? :D
