Measuring out at 6-foot, 150-pounds, Baze is used to having to prove himself because of his smaller stature. Many wonder whether his body will be able to take the abuse at the collegiate level, but the Texas standout believes he has the skills needed to succeed.
“I'm a good wide receiver that can run good routes and get open,” he claimed. “I catch the ball and then I do good things with it, especially getting yards after the catch. I feel that people overlook me all the time because of my size. Pretty much all these colleges have said they want to see my film or see me in person first before they do anything.”
His so called “less-than-ideal” size hasn't scared off many of the big names in college football yet as a numbers of them have already been reaching out to gauge his interest.
“I've been hearing from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, Baylor, Kansas, Notre Dame, Michigan, TCU and SMU.” said Baze. “Texas Tech and Oklahoma State have also been sending me a couple things recently.”
