A damn good football player and he gets me a lot of points for my college football fantasy team...I hope he sticks around for his sr. yr.

I throw up a little when I think that Juju Smith was almost opposite of him.

Fuller is a stud at the deep ball and the short hitch/screen type plays, but he needs to get better at catching with his hands on intermediate and timing routes to be the best in the country IMO.

Don't get me wrong, this is just being petty at this point cause the dude is a threat to score every play.

I've been fairly hard on him about this and he did a much much better job with that yesterday, which I was thoroughly pleased with. However, still dropped an easy first down catch that killed a drive. Against better defenses, we can't have our best WR having drive killing drops. Somewhat of a boom or bust mentality that creates some inconsistency in the offense.

Where would you guys rank Fuller as a WR against the rest of CFB? I'd put him behind Juju and Treadwell for sure, after that I haven't seen enough to know. I think he's easily top 10 in the country, maybe top 5. He's playing like a borderline superstar.

I need to see more of Treadwell post injury before I can put him ahead of Fuller

When comparing Fuller with the best, I think speed wise he is right there. The major problem he has is his size and still not sure about his route running. Every guy in this list is at least 6'2" and most over 200 pounds. Treadwell is a beast and barring injury should be a NFL star. JuJu can flat out play, but with SC's recent NFL history not sure. I would put Rashard Higgins a step below these guys, but a better route runner than most. He has missed a game and a half otherwise he would have top 5 stats again this year.

I know it's really early, but if Fuller can maintain this level of productivy, he has to be invited to New York in early December. Kid is on FIRE.

Fuller offers the production and confidence of Golden Tate.

He has the confidence and speed, but Golden had some of the best hands I've seen. Fuller is and will continue to be a college star, but he's not great catching with his hands away from his body, and that'll hurt him in the draft. Hopefully he keeps improving - that sideline catch he had was very nice.

Fuller is definitely a top 10 guy this year and at this moment, but has a ways to go before he approaches elite or Heisman status.

He has to be the top for the Biletnikoff like our man Tate was ... At least that's how I see it right now. He may go for 1800 yards and 20+ TDs this year. But with his size, he may max out as a 2nd rounder ... Like our man Tate. He's not going to win a heisman if Fornett keeps putting together games like he did this week. He looked like Bo Jackson out there yesterday.

I actually think he uses his hands away from his body pretty well. It's when the ball gets in on his body when he doesn't use his hands well.IMO.

Agree with this. His size and inconsistency catching the ball will keep him in the second round. Saying that he reminds me of Antonio Brown.

Brown has good hands though. Fuller makes getting open look as effortless as Brown though.

Auburn has the worst rushing defense in the country. Rushing Defense | FBS Football Statistics - NCAA.com.

Fournette might be able to keep this up, but you can't gleam anything from the SECond-rate competition he's played so far.

I'm a little confused here? The ball should never get to your body. Therefore if it does, it means you aren't using your hands. This is why they have WR's run the gauntlet at the combine. So, they are forced to catch everything with their hands.

Also, Fuller lets the ball get into his body because you can tell he's more comfortable in doing so. He'll most definitely make hands catches, he's a really good WR, but he does lack high level ball skills.

I'm referring more to when he can extend his arms (away from his body)

than those where he can't (ball gets in on his body)

Which then makes our points agree as to why he doesn't use his hands on the balls that get into his body frame.

That last example proves my point. Thats a ball that you should've most definitely been high pointed with his arms extended. They practice that drill all the time. The rule is the ball should NEVER get to your body.

Keep in mind that I'm not saying he can't catch. However, he still dropped a routine hitch route that was in his chest because he let it get to his body. He probably has 3-4 drops on the year and all should have been caught but weren't because he's not consistent in that yet. He'll most definitely make some great catches, means he can do it, but he also drops quite a few for his talent level. Most likely meaning he may lack some concentration more so than strength of hands and hand eye coordination.

Yea, reading back I realize I thought you were saying something different.

I guess I was just trying to point out, before I got confused (lol), that your hands should always be away from your body. The ball shouldn't ever get into your body. So its tough to say he does it well, when he doesn't do it all the time.

Yeah, I think his biggest problem with those types of passes isn't necessarily are his hands good enough or not. It's his decision making on do I use my hands or pin it to chest.

These pass locations can make it difficult on hand placement. One a high pass you know you are putting your thumbs and index fingers together.

on a low pass you know you are putting your pinkies together

The one right at your stomach/lower chest can put you in a bind and usually just goes to comfort level. Where Will might not have any comfort level with either so he just defaults to pinning it to his chest.

but any guy who can run as fast as he does then catch a ball like this:
USATSI_8811504_168380823_lowres.jpg

doesn't have a "hands" problem. He has a problem upstairs of indecision and confidence. at least IMO.
