A) I didn't go to ND, but most certianly wish I had a degree with that kind of umph behind it and I most certainly wish my university provided me with the network that ND does. Does that mean I am not set up to be successful for my life absolutely not. Does it mean I may have to work harder because it it, I think so.
B) You would be a fool to laugh at someone from ND that is willing to give your student a free education there, regardless of what they said.
I would certainly let my student go to ND on a free-ride, no doubt. We'll just have to agree to disagree as I believe my degree holds just as much "umph" as a degree from ND does, but it probably varies by the type of degree and career path chosen after graduation . My degree certainly didn't cost as much.
EV4 definitely won't be going to my alma-mater, so here's hoping he's IRISH.
