That is interesting. Kelly brought up the idea to Barr on a recruiting trip and I don't think he was too happy about it. Good luck to him and his new coach next year.

Exactly. He was really turned off by Kelly's suggestion. Looks like BK has a good eye.

Just my opinion....

11-14 with a 6-12 record in the Pac10. With the 11 wins coming against teams with a combined record of 48-87.

I do not see how they beat Stanford, Houston, Texas, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and USC. That is pretty locks up a losing season.

His days are numbered. Especially after Kiffin and UCLA kick the shit out of UCLA, his ad in the LA Times is going to bite him in the arse.

They got a very good class last year...very good. There is some young talent there, hopefully it can produce quickly for them. I'd rather UCLA control LA recruiting over USC. I'm pulling for them.

Did he do much for them this year?

The quotes below from the "Wave of the Future" thread are far better representations of Mr. Barr and his situation, than meaningless stats in a sh!tty offense, on a sh!tty team, in the second best conference in college football. Not meant to attack any posters, just trying to add some perspective to this kid's discussion. IMO, I would gladly welcome him and his athleticism to ND.

Guys, if you're going to rip a kid, a least do a little research. He wasn't a bench warmer - not at all. Not even close. He played a lot - the problem was, he played in a crappy offense which they changed both years he was there, with a crappy QB (seriously, even worse than ND's situation) and a lame duck coach who was in way over his head.

It's like people who rip TJ Jones and Theo Riddick. While they may not be great...do we even know if they're good or not yet? Go watch the games again (I have) and go see how many times they are WIDE open but our QB missed them. Same thing with Barr. Let's see him ply with under a coach who has a clue, with a QB who has a clue.

Kid's got talent, but when you're only blocking and never getting thrown to, how good/bad can we really say you are?

As far as any of the other discussions, the kid is 6'5" tall, between 230 and 240 lbs, fast enough to double UCLA's rushing yardage when he is in, and is Academic All PAC 12. I guess some people say things before they bother to check the facts. Oh, yeah, and surgery for a meniscus tear only slowed him down for five or six weeks.

This kind could play RB, TE, or WR on offense. He could play any LB on defense, or a bunch of other positions that have not been invented yet.

If I remember correctly he chose UCLA over ND because of his relationship with Neuheisel. Now that he is gone, maybe he is having second thoughts?

If this were true - #1 I would be THRILLED. #2 I would imagine Anthony would play either an insanely athletic pass catching TE or a Dog OLB for us. I think he could become special at either or with his size and athleticism. Hes definitely not a RB in our system.
