Brooks has said that he hates ND independence, but we'll see if he changes his tune now with the move to 24. He constantly praises Marcus and ND being well coached and the must disciplined team in the country. He definitely does not hate ND and will be here for the Miami game

Basically, Driskell is upset that Brooks’ content on his run game preview is getting more engagement than his own. Coupled with the fact that Brooks has been anti-ND (not specifically hate, just anti-ND independence), D3 is just not overly pleased.

Driskell doesn’t get enough likes on the posts for a few of his breakdowns, yet so many of his subscribers watch them all. Odd fella.

Brooks is great. Maybe the best CFB content creator going right now. Does he like ND? No, he is on record saying he doesn't like us being independent. Has that ever, in any way, colored his analysis? No, he is always very complimentary of our team and is consistently impressed by our style and our players. I don't need every person on earth to love ND, I just want engaging and honest work where I learn something.

With Kirk on this stuff I always go back to the SEC title game last year, when it became apparent that Bama was gonna get blown out. Some time in the second quarter he suddenly started calling it a "bonus game" - a mere exhibition match, not a heavyweight fight for the mighty SEC championship - like he'd gotten the fresh talking point direct from Bristol. It was like watching a robot.

But anyway the bigger problem for us and perception is that no one actually thinks BYU is good. So while yes they are a Top 10 team right now, no one counts them as such. And if we do to them tonight what I think we will...

Fortunately their only other serious opponent is Utah. Win that and they should go 11-1 and get another crack at Texas Tech for the Big 12 title.

Utah may be the better team. That will be a good game. Reason TTU & the B12 are rooting so hard for BYU is b/c they know the B22 has credibility issues due to weak scheduling. TTU isn’t afraid of BYU in the B12 CG but they know a win over the Cougars goes a long way if BYU has a win over ND.

Yep. And, look, credit to BYU for scheduling us. They could have booked an easy win but they seem aware that the best shot they have for an at-large bid is beating a nonconference heavyweight. That will then apply via transitive property to Texas Tech and Utah. In a sense BYU's helping their whole conference today. Unless/until we blow them off the field anyway.

IOW, I think BYU is a little high on its own supply but at least they have bigger balls than USC and Indiana.

I don’t enjoy Fowler & him in the booth for ND games. Fowler is a long time hater of ND as well. He’s a CU alum who I’m sure was an avid fan during the years where ND & CU clashed.
