Walter Cronkite eat your heart out! This is a news source! AI woman spouting insane left wing talking points so insane people can share it. No wonder this guy is delusional.

Is this how you spend your Football Saturdays? Pretty sad.

I'm well aware what the actual problem is that some people have with it. It doesn't bother me. We hung criminals in public in the 1800s and it was for the encouragement of the others. I'm also well aware that many of those claiming it's uncivilized and violent and offends them and so on thought Kirk or the insurance CEO getting murdered or Trump shot was funny and entertaining. If the live streaming of the execution offends someone, don't watch.

I think you meant the discouragement of them to commit crimes (or they would experience the same end).

Btw, they also did the same public events with African Americans in the Jim Crow era where they lynched, burned, and cut up the bodies after hanging them; and they had the whole town there including children, and and a photographer; photos were used as postcards to send to one another. Our proudest American moment indeed.

Sorry, not the same, my guy. Just because I'm not watching the D4 track meet doesn't mean an injustice isn't being done. Justice is being served in the case of Hasan's execution. If a bank or business is robbed after hours and no one is there, is a crime committed or not? Fair is fair, it doesn't matter if there's eyes on it or not. Again, tell me why a trans woman can't compete against biological boys? We've seen boys high school teams dismantle professional women's teams in soccer, hockey, and other sports. It's no secret males have competitive advantages over females, there's almost no point to having separate sports if people born as men are going to compete in both. If you're not willing to see the logic, I'm not a miracle worker.

Of course it’s not the same. There are more children who are going to be impacted from seeing their own government livestream an execution, than some random sporting event that includes a random trans person. The only reason anyone even cares about the few trans people in sports is because of the right wing propagandists accounts who tell everyone it’s some big deal.

We have yet to see any to any person undergo hormone treatment to trans themselves for trying to cheat the system.

You can drop the genetical inspection board shtick, we've been over that too. World Aquatics and other organizations do chromosome sex certification now as well as testosterone testing, the inspection thing isn't a thing.

We’ve gone over it, but I don’t think you remember how it went. Dutee Chand says hi. Intersex athletes get confused for being trans all the time, I remember the Olympic thread getting derailed because people couldn’t understand that.

I have issue with hormone testing for sports to prevent same impacts as doping. If someone has a dick but has been on sex change medication and are meeting the regulations to compete, why should anyone care about what kind of genitals they have?

This all boils down to - niche women’s sports being clipped by right wing propagandists accounts and parroted on here = fine, and the government live streaming an execution = pearl clutching for criticizing.

This just went right over your head. "For the encouragement of the others" is the English translation of "Pour encourager les autres," a French phrase that translates literally to "in order to encourage the others" used ironically to describe a harsh punishment carried out publicly as a warning or deterrent to others. It's commonly used. I even saw someone else here on IE use it a week or so ago.

You're reaching badly with this comparison. Hanging people as a racist or terrorist act has absolutely nothing to do with executing a convicted terrorist murderer who intentionally killed or wounded dozens of coworkers, including a pregnant woman who begged for the life of herself and child. His crime was so egregious that it warrants this particular punishment. Don't bring that idiotic dishonest false equivalency nonsense to the argument. If you're offended by the public execution or don't have the stomach for it, then don't watch it. The rest of us aren't obligated to live our lives based on your feelings.

I'm familiar with the term, BUT you didn't use quotes in your first instance of using the term.

I don't think I am reaching badly as public viewing of executions can lead to unintended effects on large crowds viewing it like riling them up to see more such executions.

Duh on the punishment fits the crime; it's a separate issue vs. the public viewing topic; altho' I still don't agree with it, but if the military wants to show it internally only for the soldiers, that's at least better than enabling anyone to view the public livestream.

Pro-life only applies to the innocent unborn. It doesn't apply to radical Islams that kill 13 unarmed soldiers and wound 30+ more. Their life is forfeit at that point.
You’re not pro life; you’re anti-abortion. Which is fine. Abortion and the death penalty are both fiercely debated topics with beliefs on all sides. Just don’t call yourself pro life.

"Pro-life refers to the political and social movement that opposes legal abortion access, anchored in the belief that human life begins at conception and that a fetus has a right to life. [1, 2, 3, 4]"

It's an AI definition, but I don't think it's wrong. You are correct on the other point, I generally am anti-abortion and I'm generally good with the death penalty if the punishment fits the crime.
"I believe that forgiving them is God’s function, our job is to arrange the meeting."

Trump turning full badie

Looks like it just got Community Noted. They haven't reportedly cut intel sharing as of yet,
Either way, I'm fine with Ukraine going on the offensive and hitting Russia where it hurts, global oil prices be damned a bit. Not in favor of lifting sanctions even if they haven't done enough to stifle Putin. Need to hit Russia where it hurts to get Putin to fuck off, the turtle strategy can't win long term.

Ukraine's Air Force says radar detected the targets but received no launch data; the cause is "currently being investigated," with no confirmed US intel cutoff. Zelensky's adviser said such undetected launches happened before and urged against premature conclusions. knews.media/2026/10/13/kyi… unn.ua/en/news/explos…

Same energy as "Kennedy will be beholden to the Pope" from the usual suspects slapping back at people against murdering babies for applauding the long over due execution of evil assholes. Law and Order is not Sunday school. Government is not God.

Way to keep it classy MAGA men of OH. A freaking red-hat mob chanting "USA, USA" and looking ready to pummel her to death.

Her crime? Simply wearing a "Release the Epstein Files" t-shirt. It's a g--damn brainwashed cult.

Weaponization of government by the fascist side-

They even used the frauds at the SPLC to justify their actions.
Banks regularly used hate group designations from the Southern Poverty Law Center to debank customers. The SPLC was indicted in April on federal fraud and money-laundering charges, with prosecutors alleging it defrauded donors of millions of dollars. FBI Director Kash Patel has described the non-profit as a “partisan smear machine.”

JPMorgan’s WePay, for instance, closed the account of a religious organization citing the fact it had been designated an “extremist hate group” by the SPLC.

Yea, I think so. Old news-just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not true. Head in sand.
Yea, I don’t think so.
A USG report confirmed these policies, which were specifically based on customers' political and religious beliefs. The OCC reviewed "debanking" practices that occurred between 2020 and 2025 and found this existed. Specifically targeting groups/orgs the Biden administration disliked or did not agree with.

What the fuck is true? What do you think happened here?

Spell it out for me.
Abuse of government and executive authority by a unelected rogue group running unchecked under a demented president in what should be the greatest scandal of the century. The same people cry about fascism.

So in your MAGA demented heads, the Executive Branch controls private banks and were closing accounts or ceasing to do business with conservative people and businesses?

Classic IE MAGA reading comprehension and logic.

If you can put BREAKING: in a tweet you can get IE MAGA to jump on it. I love going to the guys account and seeing some slop about how El-sayed being Muslim means he wants to kill dogs.

DSA IE doesn’t know treasury is part of the executive branch and they are the ones who create the keyword list, share it amongst the banks, help filter out MAGA and Bass Pro purchases- look for suspicious religious or firearm purchases and make a list. FinCen did this. They created the dragnet. They created the environment where banks could use “reputational risk” to debank the political opponents. It was absolutely accelerated and promoted by Yellen’s treasury.

Hegseth has lost his mind. Absolutely, the muslim doctor shooter who killed 13 soldiers at Fort Hood needs to be punished accordingly, but to livestream his execution by firing squad so that Americans can see it is just not necessary.

What does he think is going to happen? We're all gonna settle in in front of our large screen television, popcorn in hand and watch and clap for the execution on TV (like the Zionist Israelis do but they watch Palestinian territory and homes get blown up on their live feed)?

That's what authoritarian governments do. Hegseth is nasty and depraved.

Finally, a Trump decision I can agree with...

That’s not what the report states.

A keyword list had been shared for surveillance purposes of criminal activity following January 6th. We can attribute that to January 6th, not the Biden Administration. Pretty common practice.

Do you know what else was on the keyword list you reference? “Biden,” “Kamala,” “Pelosi,” “Schumer,” “Antifa.”

Kind of expected this after Vance's comments. All that worrying over nothing. I'm sure people will find a feed anyway and end up spreading it online. I wonder if he ever had the intention of actually broadcasting this and just threw it out there to fuck with the news cycle as a distraction.
