Former Chicago Bears fullback Matt Suhey passed away on Sunday at the age of 68. Suhey made a career blocking for Walter Peyton but was also not a bad runner and receiver himself, totaling 2,946 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns, as well as 2,113 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns during his 10-year career.

I could probably name every starter and several backups from the '85 Bears, and I am/was a Lions fan. Suhey was a great one.

Got his autograph pic at an event in IL back in the day. You never heard a bad thing about the guy. Played CFB at PSU IIRC

Joe Morgan. The Red Sock, not the Red.

I could go position by position telling you about his teams….

…Rocket, Hurst, Oil Can, Reardon, L. Smith, Greenwell, Boggs, Henderson, Dewey, Spike Owen, Jody Reed, Burks, Buckner, Gedman, Brunansky, Boddicker…

…off the top of head.

A’s were just too juiced back then, however.
From Walpole, went to BC.

Cardiac arrest at 56. Yikes.
No publicly disclosed specific health issues or history of drug abuse, but reportedly hospitalized multiple times over the past year. He was dealing with some sort of serious underlying health issue.

Remember the Titans and Heroes.

Way too young. Hard to believe.

Given her past struggles with drugs, I was afraid that was going to be the cause of death. Very talented and beautiful young woman, but went down the wrong path.
Her official cause of death was released a couple of days ago.
The actress, known for her roles in Heroes, Remember the Titans and more, died at 36 on Sunday, Aug. 16 in South Carolina.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, the Greenville County Coroner’s office confirmed her death has been ruled as toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine. The manner of death has been ruled an accident.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can be used legally as an analgesic and anesthetic while 4-ANPP is a chemical compound used in the illegal manufacture of fentanyl. Alprazolam is a prescription benzodiazepine medication, known by the brand name Xanax, that treats anxiety and panic disorders, while methocarbamol, often prescribed as Roxabin, is a muscle relaxant. Quetiapine is an atypical antipsychotic medication, known by the brand name Seroquel, that acts as a mood stabilizer.

Hayden Panettiere arrives for the world premiere of Scream VI
A few powerful prescription drugs and add some fentanyl to it, and this is the result sooner or later usually.

It's a shame. I would wager being part of the Disney family she could have been abused as a kid and that could have led to a life of drugs or it's where they started from.

High priestess of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Dee Brock, died at 96.

Dee in the cowboy hat on the right. I was a big Cowboy fan back the Tom Landry days. The Cowboys use to use the Kilgore Rangerettes before they had the cheerleaders.

RIP Dee.

I didn't know much about them until I saw some obscure streaming service documentary about their history. Basically the image we all had of them was grown one the one cult leader, Mrs Dee. After she quit they became just models that can bounce.

IIRC, the idea of cheerleaders was hatched by one of the Murchison brothers (the shady one). Side note, “The Murchisons” is a great read about the family that the tv show, “Dallas”; was based on.

Just saw that Dennis Haskins, aka Mr. Belding from Saved By the Bell, passed away.

I've seen every episode of that show at least twice, Tiffani Thiessen was my first crush. Haskins was great comedy relief, but he brought the life lessons on the show sometimes too.

RIP, Mr. B.

Former Notre Dame offensive lineman Tim Scannell died Sept. 26 following a battle with brain cancer, according to his obituary. He was 62.

Scannell earned a starting job on the Fighting Irish offensive line as a freshman. As a senior, he was named a team captain and earned All-American honors.

After his playing career was over, Scannell worked as a grad assistant at Notre Dame under legendary coach Lou Holtz. He was on staff when the Fighting Irish won a national championship in 1988.
