Yeah, let's pump the brakes here.

It's San Jose State, they're one of the worst teams in the Mountain West.

I’ll bet there’s a better chance he surpasses ASB’s college yardage than there is the need to pump brakes on him today.

I was about to argue this aggressively but I looked up ASB's stats and realized it's a very clever bet. A good WR has a chance with elongated schedules and 3-4 years of full season play.

Exactly.
But 2200+ career yds is nothing to sneeze at.
Right but given his first game against warm-up competition netted him over 100 yds. Even if he falls back to half of his first game production, he'd be at ~ 650yds for the season. If he doesn't get better and maintains the production for 3 years he's at 1900 yds.

Freshmen receivers gaining 100 in their first game at USC likely portends big things. So I wouldn't take your bet as I'm with you, I think he'll hit the over barring injuries.

As the other poster mentioned above, the best case scenario is he hits between 6-900 yds and they lose 4-5 games and we pull him to South Bend to help us pursue a repeat natty.

I think someone distilled my blue&gold kool-aid

Just a reminder that our leading receiver/captain was a walk-on. Sometimes coach's evals miss. I hope he has a great career while USC is going 0-12.

He had one big catch when he was wide open (68ys TD). I only saw the highlights so not sure what else he did but it didn't make the highlights. Big deal.

I think he is good. Which might be good for us. USC isn’t for real, and maybe he reevaluates things by the end of season when his team can’t get over the hump. The noise will get loud, while, at the same, ND should be humming.

Well, he will be about 60% there after this season (barring injury) sooo that's not saying much especially in that offense.
