The grant of rights is the obstacle. I was also immediately curious how the Congress can pass a bill to change the contract of other parties.

was watching the ACCN road trip show this morning from Miami where they were talking to players and coaches during fall camp and they are at it again as two of the show's hosts were taking shots at our irish basically saying they have no shot against Miami in November

I'm curious their rationale for this.
Our game last year was a toss-up. This one will be at our place. Neither team is dramatically different from a raw talent perspective than they were a year ago, and we have sorted a lot of things out (to be fair, so have they).
I can see a Miami homer picking Miami to win based on their playoff run, but to act like we have "no shot" seems ungrounded in any reality.

Miami won in South Bend in 1984.

But yes, Notre Dame has beaten Miami in Japan more recently than they've beaten them at Miami.

I'm not sure this is a rivalry. We don't play them every year and have only played them like 27 times since 1955. ND use to play Miami the last game of the season down in Miami.

We went a generation without playing Michigan, twice or thrice, but the rivalry remained. The 1980s intensity was enough in itself for a century of hate.

they convinced themselves that they dominated us in our game last year, which is wild. this seems to be a continuation of that.

Which is wild. We had a first time starting quarterback who ended up playing really well in the second half. If anything, ND dominated themselves by trying to protect Carr with such a conservative gameplan.

Trying to run the ball against that front was hard enough, let alone when they knew it was coming. Once they let Carr cook, we clawed back and almost won. They are absolutely kidding themselves.

I hope we beat them to a pulp in November.

I would include Tony Elliott in there as well, but you're 100% correct.

I am also still not convinced that what they were doing was all squeaky clean. That 2018 team that won the title as loaded. I don't know that they're above suspicion considering it was pre Covid/NIL.

Wasn't there a photo of Kenneth Page holding a huge stack of cash around the time he committed to Clemson? I'm sure that was just an isolated incident.
