Also not a crazy play because there’s zero chance a db wins a jump ball against the Kmet and also because unless you see it in practice every week it’s totally reasonable to misread the physics defying arcs of a Caleb Williams fourth down hail marry. At some point enough elite dbs have done it that you can’t just chalk it up to a mistake.

As a neutral that was a great game. I know there are lots of bears fans here,… sucks for yall. At least you have hope for the future. Okay, back to hockey for the rest of the winter,…

Brutal but you can't knock the season. Bears ran expectations out of the building.

One crazy TD throw doesn't offset three interceptions. He's not alone though. Half of the QBs in the division round had 3+ turnovers.

The world is bright and beautiful again, all is well. The endless glazing of continual ~50 completion percentages each week due to some improbable, probability shattering fluky win is over.

Is the Bears offense always so all or nothing? Seems like every pass attempt was 20+ yards down field.

Yes, that is how we were winning games with fairly low completion percentage.
That does not seem very sustainable. I saw Swift leak out several time while Caleb loaded to up to chuck it. Need to just take the easy completions sometimes.

I’m not convinced Williams is worth the price.
He's still just the same guy he was at USC to me. He cannot play consistently on schedule, in rhythm from the pocket but is way too reliant on backyard football to get by. Yes, he made a nice (extremely lucky) pass to Kmet to tie the game, but throughout the game if he hit 7-8 far easier passes the Bears wouldn't have found themselves in so many close games. I don't really give credit for the 4th quarter comebacks when he was a big part of the reason they were behind in so many games.

His career completion percentage is 60%, with a sub 60% one this season. That is not sustainable and will always put a hard ceiling on the Bears and I still remain unconvinced that he'll get a second contract with the Bears.

The NFL needs to invest into the officials. The inconsistency of flags this entire season is u real. I u destined that we are getting the replay from 4 angles and in a much slower speed.

They either need to add more refs to see more or add staff that can see a flag from the review and call down to the field to get them to throw a flag.

Caleb Williams is basically an upgraded Jay Cutler 2.0 imo. Similar gunslinger styles of play. Caleb has a much higher ceiling with his athleticism obviously. Caleb’s INTs are down compared to Cutty but he’s still a high risk, high reward type QB. A couple of easy check downs over the middle and Bears win with a walk off FG. Oh well, is what it is. Hell of a season for them in Johnson’s first year.
