Yep. It's fascinating to hear the stories people have. Anyone with good stories, my DM's are open.
I drank some beers with some of the dudes from the Cal State Bakersfield wrestling team (pretty well regarded then) who were friends of my older brother at the time.

They were equally impressed with how many beers I drank and the fact that I did not spill a single drop when I fell asleep sitting in a chair with a beer in my hand only to wake back up like 20 minutes later to finish it off.

No moms were involved. Lol.

Basically same deal here - except no one did year round. Some of the psychos with D1 dreams did some of the summer stuff I guess since Junior Nationals are in Fargo.
My kid didn't start until 8th grade, so he had catching up to do. After his freshman year he really went all out. Kid worked his ass off to catch up. He got a job at 16 to pay for a private personal trainer specializing in combat athletes to get bigger and stronger. Wound up being a 2 time state qualifier and 100 match winner. Got an offer to wrestle at Hunter College in New York but turned it down because he was done with wrestling and had no interest in 4 year school.

South Carolina ironically enough has the #2 ranked D2 school in the country. A lot of kids from SC. Not a lot of opportunities down here. NC State and UNC are the only D1 teams, so a lot of kids go the D2 route to be close to home.

If anything's clear it's that Freeman is not someone we can count on being at ND in the long run. I hope we have candidates in mind.
Why would you count on anyone being anywhere "in the long run" at this point? We should always have candidates in mind.

FWIW, it doesn't feel like it but Freeman is entering his fifth year as Notre Dame's head coach. He's probably longer-tenured already than at least half the coaches in P4.

So Freeman doesn’t give a rats ass that he continues to be in the hunt for an NFL HC job and the potential issues it creates for the team. But he has shut the media out so no one has any information on the team.

And yes this is on Freeman. He can tell his agent to shut this shit down at anytime. His choice of pure silence is deafening.

Choose hard and tell your agent to stop this bullshit.

Was Freeman a wrestler back in the day?
If not, he should tread lightly, those little dudes can fuck you up quick in a street fight.
