I will gladly bet you that ND sits better than “probably a top 20 team at best” barring unforeseen injuries that you’re not talking about here (eg CJ Carr). Three month ban for the loser?

How do we define it… starting Vegas championship odds? We will be far enough inside #20. Week 1 ranking? Same thing.
And if you think both of these are blatantly off from reality, then it’s feeling like pessimism just for the sake of pessimism.

I don’t think it’s out of bounds to say that us being that bad at such an important position will prevent the 2026 team from being an actual contender. Hopefully we get some last minute pick ups.

We have no idea what the depth chart will look like. We have a top 5 foundation, though.

2 of the QBs aren’t even that special. They just got paid well in the transfer portal and the team they are playing for.

A list like that is pretty meaningless at this point. It's just name recognition. There will be RBs in the mix. We just don't know who they are yet.
