Yeah, I miss night shift in some respects. On your days off you have these nice, peaceful nights where you're not bothered by phone calls and door bells. On the down side your significant other is probably asleep during this time...well...sometimes that can be a blessing Overall I enjoyed the time though. I'm on 8-5 now, so I get to see the Mrs. and the kids more which is great. On the downside my new job means I've got someone standing over my shoulder more often. That never happened on night shift...many nights I just watched movies or posted on IE...that was a nice bonus and easy money.

You make a very valid point. However, as a sometimes open-minded generalist, I'm willing to entertain suggestion from a number of sources. That many, if not most, are rejected is a horse of a different color.
