Well if Grubl is who knows? Dude is more wreckless than anyone i know and he just wakes up and pisses swag so idk.

Anzalone, one of the most sought after football recruits in the nation, de-committed Friday afternoon after disturbing news surfaced that a Buckeyes fan who gained access to players and recruits is a convicted sex offender.

The sex offender, Charles Eric Waugh of Kentucky, has been reaching out to Ohio State players and recruits, personally and via social media.

Clear parallel here. Parallels?

Harry Heistand visited him at his house today and stated NDs case academically.

What an amazing turn of events, with this young mans recrtuitment......it certainly sounds like Urbie has his hands full at this time with their own twittergate. Every school seems to have this problem anymore. We had our own along with Michigan, although I'm overly curious as to the real reason behind his decommitting. I know it's his reason, and he owes no one an explanation, cept' maybe the OSU coaches. I hope we end up with him, but wish him luck with his pending decision.

The evaluation period is from April 15 to May 31.

"During an evaluation period, they can only assess academic qualifications and playing abilities; no in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts are permitted. Letters and phone calls are permitted."

As we all know, the parents can have a tremendous influence. There are some quotes from his dad in this article:

Ohio State recruit decommits after convicted sex offender posted photo on the Internet of himself and junior linebacker - ESPN

"Separate yourself," Sal Anzalone said, "because you don't want the NCAA thinking that you're being influenced by this joke."

His father is saying Ohio State could still have a chance.

''It's a possibility,'' Sal Anzalone said. ''Things change. You can't hold them responsible for other people's behavior.''

The whole situation is very weird. Within the same article his Dad's statements seem to be contradictory. On the one hand, he says Anzalone decommitted b/c someone let a creepy pervert get near his son. On the other hand, he tries to make clear that he doesn't blame OSU or the coaches (in particular, Meyer and Fickel). So who does he blame then? If all this is true, Anzalone seems to have decommitted b/c OSU has a sex offender pervert for a fan, which doesn't seem like a very good reason since I'm sure every school has some of those.

My guess is, something else is going on that we don't know about, and this was just the spark that pushed him over the edge to decommit. In any event, I certainly won't complain about it. Even if he doesn't come to ND, nice to see Urban lose one.

I saw someone saying this was just one of the reasons for his decommitment

Pedophile is to Anzalone as track is to Darby. Track isn't as creepy though.

As long as scUM or U$C isn't his choice! But yeah, good to see Urbie lose one.

Was supposed to be at the nike combine thing today and is not

The fact that his dad was pissed he was out partying at his visit helps us, smallest party school on the list ( no offense to current and former ND students)

His dad is going to favor UF I am afraid. That is where he attended.

Hopping on the first flight to UF, not exactly "taking things slow" and "digesting everything"

Quick question. Is the fact that his dad attended UF the only reason everybody thinks they lead? Or is there anything else that points to that conclusion.

That being said, I don't know if I necessarily buy UF leading. His dad allowed him to originally commit to tOSU, so why would he be against him choosing another midwest school? Some of Alex's earlier comments seem to point to him wanting to stay closer to home.

Who knows though. Where there is smoke, there is usually fire, and there sure seems to be a lot of smoke coming from southernly direction.

I willing to get that he commits somewhere before his senior season.

He has always had UF as one of his favorites, can't say the same about ND. A couple boneheaded decisions by our players this week probably didn't help either. IMO we have probably the 3rd best shot at this point. Again just my opinion.
