Him being from San Antonio where the US Army game is played probably had something to do with it.

Being from the San Antonio area (Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood) I am happy to see that Corey committed to Notre Dame in 2013. My kid will be a Domer this fall. David Robinson is one of my favorite people. And yes, I'm a Spurs fan... and he's my all-time favorite Spurs player. I got his #50 Spurs jersey. I'm kinda "old school" anyway... David and I are about a month apart in age. I haven't seen Corey play, but I will most likely venture to a SACA football game this coming season as I guess many others will to check out the skills. I saw that Corey committed after visiting Wake Forest... that's where Tim Duncan attended college, so maybe it was a courtesy visit for Tim's sake? Like others stated, I truly believe he will grow to at least 6'6" and then its just a matter of putting on some weight to be a beast. I also like that he will have a "rivalry" with his dad due to the ND v Navy game each year. Cool story line. Corey will be my favorite player once he's there.

Who is Dad is probably had something to do with his selection. Jake Golic was also an Army All American. No way that happens without his last name.

Didn't help Wayne Gretzky's boy or Joe Montana's kids.

Maybe the Admiral would be kind enough to drop your kid off in the private jet when there are semester breaks.
I went to St. Mary's and the guy that lived across the hall was flying up to Chicago every weekend, in his Dad's private jet, to play polo.
I did not know this until I saw him playing on the US Polo team on ESPN after I was out of school.
The point of this is, I went to school at the beginning of the semester and did not get back to Chicago until the semester was over. I would have loved to hitch a ride a couple times a year.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to say that haha

But no, it was showing the sheer amount of apathy I have for that comment.

Your desire to demonstrate your apathy and then re-iterate that you were in fact apathetic indicates that... oh never mind.

A Texas assistant came by his HS today to watch him workout. Nothing to worry about though. Just shows the talent ND landed.

It really is invaluable from a college career standpoint. Getting in early makes you viable on the depth chart come fall if you put in the work. Obviously some freakish athletes don't need to, but for the normal player, it can be the difference between a shot or being buried on the depth chart. Ask Tommy Rees.

No doubt about it. We'd be two years into the Andrew Hendrix show, and have been in a BCS game last year, if Hendrix early enrolled. Tommy Rees got the head start and has certainly taken advantage of it.
