This is what happens when you have receivers tear up the NFL.

Golden Tate and especially Michael Floyd need to help us out.
I'm not saying Harvin's not talented.
But he's also helped out by the fact that he plays with Peterson. And he's had Favre throw to him his first two years in the league.
Let a team with a QB draft Floyd and he just might win OROY.

Percy Harvin is a monster. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

Percy Harvin is doing pretty well...but nowhere close to what most people would consider, "tearing up the NFL." He's still best as a return man, motion him out of the backfield, underneath, change of pace guy-- not as an actual bad @ss WR. What other Urban Meyer/Utah/Florida WR's are tearing up the NFL??

Scout.com: Buckeyes Grab In-State Safety

Buckeyes Grab In-State Safety

He's listed with a 2.3 GPA. I'm surprised he got an ND offer with that GPA. Th low 2s was the area Paddy Mullen was around when he was told, no offer until you show v.s.o.p. (visibile signs of improvement. Raise the GPA!) He did and got in. A few years ago there was a TX OL with those numbers and he was told to show v.s.o.p. He tried but didn't never gained ND Admission's approval and went to A&M.

I may be wrong but I'm 95% sure Jayme Thompson never had an offer from ND... and I believe it was in large part because of his grades.

Anyways, congrats on your 83 rating safety Buckeyes.

I clicked on this thread, then I went to last page. Got distracted by my professor and forgot who's thread I was looking at. Looking at my tab I see the word ATH Jay... I scroll up and saw Ohio State Verbal.

I thought for five seconds that it was Jaylon Smith.
I quietly raged in class.

I don't think he was offered either. Wiltfong talked to his dad when the offer was first reported and his dad said it wasn't true. The kid was also saying he had a Michigan when he didn't, maybe he just confuses interest from programs with an offer.

This. From everything I've ever read he did not have anything close to an actionable offer from ND or Michigan.

I would have paid $5 to sit in your class to see that reaction...

Central Public is a 50/50 mix of Notre Dame and Ohio State. Notre Dame fight song ("cheer, cheer for ol' Central High!...") and name, but Ohio State uniform.

I hate those Central bastards more than Michigan and USC combined. Just a dirty, dirty program that gets extreme favoritism from the diocese over the other Catholic schools in the city.

When did they go to Central "Public"? When I lived in Toledo, it was Central Catholic.... They always seemed to be behind SFS(Go Knights!)/SJS/Whitmer in the greater Toledo area.

It's still Central Catholic by name. Central Public is what we referred to it as when I was attending St. Francis. You should know this... haha

A Frannie, eh? We just called it Central Catholic-but of course, that was many, many moons ago.... When I went to SFS (and let me clarify-I was kicked out and never graduated from that fine institution), we never really bothered with them, it was always big-time hate for St. John's.
