Would love to see some tape with this kid playing defense. But i trust the staff.
According to the Matt Fortuna article posted here, http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/201...shad-kinlaw-notre-dame-verbal.html#post678726
, it was his fibula.
From a Physical Terrorist's perspective what's the rehab/recovery prospects for such an injury. Do they get back to 100%? Everytime I hear fibula I have visions of LT rearranging Joe Theismann's anatomy. I realize that was a compound break of both the tibia and fibula.
At least Kinlaw has the seemingly requisite ND recruit injury behind him. Best wishes for a successful and healthy senior campaign.
Kid reminds me so much of EJ Banks coming out of high schoolWould love to see some tape with this kid playing defense. But i trust the staff.
If he plaid the whole year he would be a consensus 4![]()
I know it's early and anyone recruit can flip. I like when we grab kids early with all the potential in the world and not being heavily recruited yet. I feel like us jumping first stands big in their eyes. Same reason I think we get The Admiral!
Welcome to the family my man! Onward to a big season!!!
I like your plaid better.![]()
EDIT: Cali domer beat me to it!

Broken it before. Not a big deal. I was back at full speed in a few months
Fibula not a bad break at all. Sometimes if it is not displaced you can even walk on it within days. It is a non-weight bearing bone to my understanding.
For the most part. It does have WB forces going through it via the hamstrings and ankle musculature that applies forces to it. But you are correct in that you can be weight bearing very acutely.
Thats kinda odd to just break that bone. Most of the time you get the tib-fib break.
More than likely if it was just that bone it was in a twisting movement or change of direction movement. Actually had a spiral fracture on this bone. Hurt like hell but the other injuries I had with it were much worse. Doc said it was clean and I could have been in a walking boot within a week.
Kinlaw said Notre Dame wants three cornerbacks this cycle with the incoming freshman class void at the position.
According to an article on ISD he ran an electronic 4.41 as a sophomore at a Rutgers camp.... and in 32 snaps on defense as a junior (I think shortened season due to injury, right?) he had 6 interceptions.
Beast.

seems like a pretty average CB prospect to me
Hopefully he sees plenty of CB time in his senior year without the injury bug creepin up on him.
