I know I'm a bit of a homer, but if you don't think owners are going to take a chance on Peyton Manning, you're nuts. And naturally he's going to take a pay cut since he was one of, if not the highest paid player in the NFL.

Yes sir, at this point for Peyton it hasn't nothing to do with the money...he wants his revenge. All about that chip on his shoulder now, wants to stick it to the Colts and all of his doubters.

He's not going to the Skins....Sadly....

But, here's how I see it playing out:

Manning signs with the Houston Texans, who trade Schaub to the Skins, who also sign V-Jax.

You heard it here first.

Something to keep in mind, wherever he goes, he is going to run the offense HIS WAY. So that rules out any west coast system or offensive minded coach, imo.

Don't act all shocked when Denver makes a play on him.

It would be nice for it to work that way but i doubt it will.

I think thats why I said "No sane NFL owner, unless he's willing to take a huge pay cut"?? Whats your point here? Your a homer??

I don't believe that there is a sane owner out there in any sport.

I think Peyton is going to be another good example of what happens when people don't want to see good things come to an end.

We don't need to squeeze the blood out of every last turnip. I hate watching great players trying to cling, especially in football where the chance of further and worse injuries is huge.

He was great, he got injured.

I think he and we should move on with good memories. Of course I know he and we won't and we will get to watch him struggle for a few more years.

Why not Houston??

-Weak division
-Already, in my opinion, the favorite in a weak conference
-Best team top to bottom (injuries hurt them) in the AFC
-Stadium with a roof in a good climate

I think it's a great fit. Now, I understand it's gonna take some moves to get done, and there are concerns about his health. but this is a slamdunk for both Manning and Houston if this gets done.

Wooly brought it up earlier.

Manning will only play where he can do it HIS WAY.

They will let him do it his way in houston. He will also have a good running back and defense.

He'll need a pair of 6'5" TE's and a runningback stronger than steel and faster than a rocket like almost every NFL team is working on now

Brandon Marshall, Devone Bess, possibly Reggie Wayne...even Reggie Pushed catching balls out of the backfield from Manning. Jake Long protecting his backside.

IDK...think it just might be able to work in Miami.

Andre Johnson, a better running game, better TE's that are versitle, better Oline, and better Defense...all in a division that they're gonna win without Manning.

In houston. Oh, and people actually come to the games in a fantastic stadium.

While I know it's a long shot (because they'd have to move Schuab) I think HOU is by far the best fit for Manning to win now as he wants to do.

I don't see any teams like SF or Hou taking Manning. Both teams made deep runs last year. SF was minutes away from the SB. Why would you get rid of what you have to take a shot on Manning? Is he HOF? Of course. But who knows how he will be when he comes back. Will he be healthy? Will he mesh with the team? Will he be the whiner who throws his team under the bus when they lose in the first round? The other issue is he needs to go to a team with a good O Line and a good run game or he's going to get wrecked.

Are you suggesting Colts fans don't go out to the games??

I think this ia slam on the attendence at Dolphin Games, which he must be mistaking with the other team that plays there that never has fans show...that the Hur-ri-canes, not Dolphins. ;)

I hope so.

Being a lifelong Colts fan, I can tell you personally that regardless of a 13-3 season or a 3-13 season, Colts fans support their team.

The nice thing about signing Peyton is that you get a QB and offensive coordinator all in one.

As a Giants fan and a big Eli fan, I am sorry to you guys. I've always been a big Peyton fan. He should have won more Super Bowls but never had the defense to help him out.

It was a dig at Mi-jami...who was 28th in the NFL last year in attendence. 27th in total # of fans and 31st in %
