Let's move on at this point. We can't be holding two scholarships open as signing day approaches in the hopes something happens.

That's what marginal 5Ys are for. Golic's chances of coming back just improved tremendously.

Something will happen.

This isn't good for us.

But a good deal is good for two different parties, not one...

This may be the way to go. Isn't it true a) that a huge part of Arik's high ranking is because of his upside at O-line, where he refuses to play, and b) he fell substantially in the latest Rivals rankings after a lackluster performance in the All-American game? Not that I don't want him to come to ND but I'm not sold that this guy is Ndamukong Suh or anything. I guess I'm already preparing myself in case they don't come to ND.

So does Armond have to pay his was this semester @ USC for grad school? Seems unlikely that USC would continue to pay for him after trying to leave. I'd also have to think that its against NCAA rules to have a paid visit to Auburn/Notre Dame while under scholarship to another school.. Some things just don't add up with the entire situation.

Still confused on how Armond can/is enrolling to USC's grad program after all of this..

This pushes Arik to Cal, IMO.

Pretty sure the Pac-12 rule is still playing a large part, even if its only for armond, i cant see arik going without armond and Lupoi (recruiter and position coach) to Cal, i say whoever gets the transfer cleared for armond wins it, 50/50 if we and AU do

He's on scholarship. It's a full year scholarship. So even if he is telling them he's not planning on being back in the fall, they can't revoke his scholarship part way through the year unless he violated any school policies or conditions of his scholarship

hmmm... well this confirms one thing for sure to me... and this is where we have been anyway... that Cal was it before the coaching meltdown... seems like that really threw them for a loop...

beyond that who knows... I do know the staff won't give up on this, so it is not over.

Maybe Armond petitioned the SEC just in case we don't approve him. Trying to remain optimistic.
