17 and 18 year old kids can go wherever they wish. They're not accountable to ND fans. If Poole or Shaq decommitted from UF/Cal and were here people wouldn't blink about their character.


The difference is they were not committed for the past 10 months. To me a very big difference.

NCAA needs to be blown up! It does not do its job properly. Rewarding the teams that cheat.

The way it should be is: The more players you graduate the more scholarships your team is allowed to use.

I understand that Decker wouldn't make or break a class, but you'd rather have him than not. There's no need to brush this off like it's a minimal loss.

Yeah those solid recruiting classes and 5 star talent really helped Clemson this year. Giving up 70 points is awesome...if you play basketball. Football not so much...especially against inferior talent.....your argument if voided out with that statement.

Clemson recruiting class rankings via ESPN:
2012: 6th currently
2011: 8th
2010: 19th
2009: 19th
2008: 2nd
2007: 18th

ND had a great chance to beat FSU this year who has far more "talented" players then ND but it still came close...some say if ND had their system QB it may have been a different game let alone season.

Grabbing the best talent RIGHT NOW don't mean squat in many cases. Lots of kids aren't even fully done developing....that's where the coaches come in and with the lack luster talent ND had when Kelly came in..he is certainly developing them now.

Wtf? He gets it all figured out after one weekend after being commited to ND for many months?

Come on guy's! Taylor is a great KID from OHIO. Ohio just signed a coach we don't care for, but is considered by many to be ONE OF THE BEST currently coaching and that coach just happened to recruit away from us, HIS POSTION COACH. Are you really that shocked by this? If you are, you should turn off your computer until the season starts.

Clemson has a **** load of talent and five stars and they got their asses pounded in by a team that hasn't been ranked in the top 25 in over 5 years.

Michigan had a god given lucky season...VT didn't deserve to be in the BCS.

The point that I made that you must have missed is that it doesn't matter about top talent and getting it. It's about implementing your players in your system and developing them. Get a new pair of glasses.

Our very own Coach Kelly took Cincinnati to BCS games and Big East championships with ZERO elite talent.

Look at all the talent Texas and Florida brings in every year. They both have been horrible the passed two years. No excuse if you have all that talent and five stars right??!! Texas didn't even make a bowl the previous season.
