Ondre Pipkins tweeted that Yuri was wearing his Notre Dame hat again when they were boarding their planes this morning.

That's a bad *** hat: olde school colors, new age graphics...

With Yuri's height, I wonder if he could pack on a few lbs and move to safety. I am, of course, basing this off of absolutely nothing other than his listed size. It would be a way to get all these stud DBs on the field at once.

There has been some talk of him eventually moving to Free Safety, but I believe his INTENDED position at this time is CB.

I would like seeing that and then sliding Baratti to the rover position we saw Slaughter play in the bowl game. This would put so much speed and athleticism all over the defense.

I'd imagine the staff will be looking to get as much speed and athleticism on the field as possible at one time. Darby (FCB), Wright (FS), Shumate (SS), Shepard (BCB), and Baratti (DOLB) would put all of our most talented 2012 recruits on the field at once (assuming we get Wright).

I noticed about a week ago that he had UC-Berkeley listed as his employer on Facebook...hmmmm....

How is that nice?

It says he is going to visit Cal instead and just came from an allstar game where 3 very good players committed to Cal.

Looks bad IMO.

Initially, I had assumed it meant no other trips but to ND.

So the original update still puzzles me frankly.

After reading it, the update one-liner minus a paraphrase, I was jacked. Oh well?

What about Prosise? How about this instead... Darby (FCB), Wright (S), Prosise (S), Shepard (BCB), Baratti (DOLB) and Shumate (The new "Over hang LB" position).

perhaps him n shumate are more teammates then friends

from what ive heard out here, this is more or less true.
hamilton and wright are supposed to be real good friends.
that being said, whats most important to us at ND is that shumate and 2013 rb jabril peppers are tight. real tight. both from paterson. shumate like a bog bro to him.
kids a 2013 5 star RB.
does anyone know if d hamilton has visited cal yet? maybe this where yuri interest coming from? esp on heels of the aa game.

Well apparently Hamilton has Cal in his top 4 and visited in Dec.

Sampson putt on the 4HL on II last night that ND feels that they will eventually land Yuri so unless something drastic happens I think we get him if we have room.

Why is everyone saying the "if we have room" comments? No one knows whats going on inside the program.

Because we have 4 maybe 5 schollies left. Westerkamp, Armstead bros, Fuller, Poole, Neal could all decide before him.

We know how many spots are left to fill the 85 limit. We know how many 5th years there are. We also know how many recruits we are still in the thick of it with.

So yeah... I definitely think that the "if we have room" comments have merit.

This is exactly the scenario I was thinking with Turner, Prosise, Jalen Brown, Atkinson, Eilar Hardy, etc. providing depth and challenging for spots too. Gotta love the depth and competition that Kelly is recruiting at each and every position.
