Kiffin is a slimeball and a liar to sell Tee on academic support and play to his disability. It's disgusting. And I don't know why I care so much when it's just an 18 year old kid I don't know... but this one really rubs me the wrong way.

UPDATE:

The Rivals USC mod has been all over this thing, and hasn't reported any b.s. He actually called the Greenberry drama long ago, and he said there was some real interest from Tee on USC several weeks ago as well. Anyway, he did some digging and the latest on Tee is that Greenberry is recruiting him HARD not to go to USC, and the feeling from those close to his recruitment is that Tee will end up at ND when all is said and done, and that he is just fooling around with all this.

Check the Greenberry thread for what the Rivals mod said about Deontay. Not as good, I'm afraid...

I'm hoping my self-imposed 5 day ban on recruiting will cool the jets a little. Had my girlfriend password block ISD, 247, and Twitter and not hand over the keys until January 3rd. I'll only be on here to chit chat.

Man, it's not just you. I couldn't sleep well last night. It was awful. I was SO disappointed, nay, depressed at coming home from the bar to this thread. Couldn't believe it. Promised myself I'd stay away from Irish sites all day. Shepard was ours for so long...reading those quotes made me want to puke. Slept like absolute crap. And I stayed away for a long time, but I just HAD to peek at ISD, and MF had some good news that talked me off the ledge.

But I feel you bro, I feel you...

It's all good my good man. Sucks? Of course but these are 17/18 year old kids. We have the USC mods saying he's not as solid and Dee is supposedly decommitting then we have the ND mods saying they are just messing with USC and they are gonna be Irish. Then in between is the real truth.

LOST in all of this is the minimal contact that our coaches have had with these young men due to the bowl game. Is it any coincidence that all this smoke occurred while USC is sitting home for the year while ND was busy in Orlando? I am willing to throw what little of my vbucks around that the coaches will get a hold of the situation.

After Kiel went to LSU, Devin Fuller wasn't even able to get into contact with them and we all know what Devin Fuller would mean for us.

*Lax, this isn't directed at you alone, your post just echoed some of my sentiment so I grabbed it.

I can tell you why it upsets you, its a number of things:
First and foremost, you're a fan and its obviously upsetting when someone we've all been looking forward to is possibly wavering.
Second, and I think this is why most people, not just ND fans, people at UT, Al Davis, etc hate Lane Kiffin... Most people are inherently good, sure we have our nut job fans and I'm sure there is at least someone at ND who is a closet scumbag, thats just statistics, but when good people see a complete disgrace of a human being like Kiffin have such sway over young, impressionable kids (Amir, and hopefully not Tee) it disgusts us.

Regardless of where he goes, Tee is likely going to leave that place a great ball player, but I think that if/when he leaves ND, he'll not only be a better baller, but a better person.
I may have some serious grievances with how BK called the game last night, but I like him as the coach, if for no other reason than how he handled Floyd. That kid was on his way to being an "Outside the Lines" story in 5 years, and Kelly, and the Notre Dame Community as a whole changed that.

Hopefully Tee and the rest of the class stay solid, recognizing what is being built at ND is not only a great team, great players, but also great young men.

We all get fired up after a loss, especially one as heartbreaking as last night, but we need to keep things in perspective, its only football, its only a game and, unless you're a coach or recruit secretly on IE, its all out of our control.

Tee isn't handling this situation properly. I usually have no major issue with the cap game recruits seem to love to play. This case it's different... Tee has been committed to ND for months!!! There's no room for the cap game in this situation! If he wants to go to ND why do the cap thing? If he wants to go to USC... simply decommit!

Shepard didn't make a ton of huge plays but he didn't have to. He was so 'lock down' the ball was not thrown his direction this afternoon.

USC never pulled there offer. Greenberry said Tee is going to Notre Dame and is solid to Notre Dame. USC mods are hearing different so who knows right now.
