Honestly we are just a few players away from being in that BCS race.

We need some corners.
And we need safeties.
We need WR's

If Tee stays, if Darby Stays, if Brown/Ferguson/Deontay stays those areas are fixed.

And that leaves Everett/Andrew to determine the QB.

We aren't that far away, if Tommy trots out then we are light years away IMO.

It seems Tee and Deontay are really enjoying the drama with all of this recruiting process.........at this point I think I am going to just sit back and let the chips fall where they may. On top of the horrible offensive perrformance we now have the usual talk of recruits decommiting........I just don't want to sit here for another month refreshing the screen for news. I truly believe Scout and the other sites purposely stir up this crap to sell subscriptions. I also believe Tee and Deontay are enjoying all of this drama.......time to forget about this for another month.

just don't understand why Tee, who sat the entire senior season, would fall victim to the recruiting nonsense at USC and skip an opportunity to enroll early at ND and compete for a starting spot immediately. when will we hear from the Shepard family on this b/c i don't believe anything out of espn.

I have never met nor spoken to Tee, so please do not let this come off as an indictment on the kind of person he is, but if he is the kind of person that would be committed to Notre Dame for nearly a year, then push off an EE and wait til Feb 1 to switch and leave us as the alter with no plan B, then I dont want him. I never got the impression he is that kind of kid. He always came off well grounded with integrity and his priorities in order, so I would be very shocked if this goes down similar to the picture that these recruiting services and "sources" are painting.

It makes absolutely no sense that he would choose not to EE now after how much emphasis he put on EEing earlier.

I personally do not like ESPN's recruiting news...they've hated on ND for a while. I believe that Tee and Deontay are all Irish, but Kelly needs to secure and reassure them soon.

Me saying 'word' to the above statement was being negative? Don't be so emotional. The above is a legit point. Kids wanna go somewhere that they know they can win. Yeah, we have faith the ND will get to the top but these 17 year olds have never seen us there. I'm sure it's easy for a guy like Kiffen to go into a ND recruit's home and say something with a big smirk on his face like 'so you're going to ND, huh'.
