SC 247 guy posted another update.
Said he was told by multiple SC commits that Tee and DG committed to SC on their visit but backed off once they got back home. Now he Tee is supposedly saying it is 50/50 between SC and ND now.
Guy is driving to Phoenix tonight to talk to them at the Semper FI bowl.
Updated post over on the rivals site by jake brown---
Title is--" On Tee Shepherd, Deontay Greenberry and all that business"
the title sounds dismissively optimistic--but what can you tell from a few words----
feel free to update us , if its positive or negative anyone
aloha's
You have to win games to get elite players, so him having second thoughts is not a surprise.

Clemson had a breakthrough year, one day ND has to have a breakthrough year right?Tell that to Clemson. Or FSU who is just a smidge better than ND this year. Or Texas who had an 8-5 year like ND. Or USC who was 8-5 last year.
etc. etc. etc.

FSU won 10 games last year and these recruits grew up seeing Texas and USC winning championships, ND can't say that. ND's recruits are easy targets right now and coaches like Kiffin know it.

"Word" my ***. That was a half-*** rationale. And you didn't touch Clemson.
Or other obvious ones out there like Cal. Or Texas A&M. The bottom line is that of course winning games helps with recruiting... but no, it has never been the be-all, end-all of recruiting. And it never will be.
I know that's what you meant! I was implying that Clemson finally had a breakthrough year, so eventually ND has to have one also you know.I'm talking about when Clemson pulled in consistent top 10 classes over the past ~4 years despite never posting a good record or competing for an ACC championship.

Those programs you're talking about aren't elite. In order to be elite and get elite players consistently you have to win. Selling academics and tradition to these kids only get you so far.
dude just stop please.
Does he have to? It would be nice to see yall roast him for another hour or so...
Just saw this on ESPN under Previewing upcoming announcements in the recruiting section:
12/29
The other big news to come out during check-in at the Semper Fidelis game was Tee Shepard (Fresno, Calif./Washington Union) saying publicly what people privately had been whispering for the last few weeks.
The talented cornerback said he no longer was a rock solid commitment to Notre Dame and now will wait until signing day Feb. 1 before he makes a final decision between the Irish and USC. Shepard visited USC two weeks ago but reportedly re-affirmed his commitment to Notre Dame immediately after the visit. At this point, it looks like anyone’s guess where the corner will sign.
Not really anything new just another source
