I have agreed with 100% of what you have said in your last 2 posts. The maps in MW3 are all the same. You are either running through a busted out building or running underground in an open subway system. The maps in MW2 were 10x better than this garbage.

With all that said, I'm still going to log a ton of time playing this game, but might give BF3 a shot after reading all the glowing reviews on here.

What is the multiplayer like compared to MW3?

More realistic. No guys running around with sniper rifles and quickscoping you. No kill perks at least from what I can tell. But it's more gun fights with realistic kills times.

I'm not playing any of the campaign. Just multiplayer. 2.1 K/D already? In 8 games? Step up your game people

BF3 is far more realistic, the squad based team death match is by far the best MP mode I have ever played out of any shooter that has been out.

MW3 is the same as MW2 no real changes other than a couple kill streaks and perks... For single player MW3 is better.. but if you wan't good challenging MP experience pick up BF3.

Okay, so I got BF3 for Christmas. My real complaint(s) (other than the campaign being pretty ****ing pathetic) are:

• That there is no way to play bots. I mean, you're gonna have all this cool **** like jets and helicopters and tanks and you just expect me to work that **** like a pro when I can't practice it offline?
  
• There are still douche bags who just shoot RPGs like their going out of style just like on COD.
  
• Oh, and the size of maps and how much of you see is kinda a pain in the *** on a 14" diagonal TV. Most people who kill me, kill me because I can't see them as more than a dot or smudge.

Again though, for people who suck (like me) there really should still be some offline bots to play against. I spent many a fun Saturday as a kid playing BFV bots.

I think I'll pick up MW3 sometime soon.

The maps in BF3 are pretty weak too. The jets are a blast once you get a handle on them and rank up to heat seekers..

It's nice having big maps in BF3, but they are not memorable. Most of them are painfully mediocre. It does help having the Karkand pack, but still. Great game, could stand a few better maps. Does anyone play it on PC? Damn consoles....:smilewink

maps are still much better than COD maps... plus the frostbite engine allows maps to always change during gameplay.

Idk why people are saying MW3 is know different then MW2, 1st off the killstreak system is COMPLETELY different, you can choose between an assault, support, and extra perks. Assault has killstreaks that focus on getting kills, as support usually benefits your entire team. Also on support the killstreak doesnt end when you die so people dont focus on K/D as much. One improvement that i LOVE is that capturing a point adds to your killstreak! Also lets you know what kill you are on in the streak, and kills from your killstreaks (i.e. attack helicopter) adds to the streak as in COD4 MW. there are a bunch of new streaks to experiment with as well. Killstreaks are assigned by which class you choose.

They added Gun XP to unlock its attachments and gun perks. There are More attachments to unlock and theres a bunch of new equipment also. I like the perks in Black Ops way more but i guess its less to worry about what the other player has.

Infinity Ward really tried to make MW3 more team based with the support group and new game mode kill confirmed which is deathmatch where you have to collect dead enemy dog tags before they can reach them. overall the gameplay sucks IMO. For some reason I cant ever aim straight and kills from a distance were RARE. I couldnt get any killstreaks going (though my first one is at 8 - Strafe Run) and i ended up averaging a .67 K/D. I dont understand why i struggle so much with this game when I was constantly in the top 100 or 500 in the world on Black-ops for Score Per Minute in ALL game modes and was ranked in the top 1200 on MW2 for total kills before i stopped playing so I know its not lack of FPS skill.

I agree with everyone that the maps are terrible, theres to many places to look for enemies for the size of the maps and you constantly get flanked and shot in the back. Nowhere near the quality of any COD Maps before IMO(talking about gameplay, spawning, and flow) wheres Crossfire? Crash? Afghan, Sidrow, High Rise, wasteland, terminal?
i always got real pumped when those maps came up, dont feel like that for any In MW3 so far. Ill give it a few more weeks before I make my final Decision on this game then ill try BF3 or just go back to MW2 (talking about those maps got me pumped)

You are a wise gamer!!! Everything you said is spot on. I have already gone back to playing MW2. I only go on MW3 when my friends beg me to go on and play with them. The maps are the number 1 reason I dont play it. The maps are just too "camper friendly" and IMO it ruined the game.

Besides, there is just nothing better than run and gunning your way to 30 kills on Favela or a sniper showdown on wasteland.

Therefore IMO

MW2>MW>BF2>=BF3>MW3>BOPS

(I hope those are greater than signs, lol cant remember.)
