Last minute jitters I'm sure. They are about to leave the nest and I'm sure were looking for reasons to stay or leave. In the end, they remain Irish. Tee will enroll in 3-4 weeks.

The Trogans only graduate 46% of their AA football players. ND's 30y ROI for AA football players is ~3x greater.

Yeah, this actually saddens me. I hate USC so much that I guess it sickens me that a verbal commit for so long would consider those scumbags under their sanctions. I get the lure of USC for some guys, but not Tee.

Still love the kid though and REALLY hope he is Irish in the end.I hope he sees past Kiffin's BS, b/c USC might not even be as interested if he wasn't an EE, and they might not even have room for Greenberry in Feb. Beware Tee, beware...

I see your side of the story, but I think of it like this:

If your chief competitor for these recruits (USC) took their best swing, and still didn't sway them, then that could potentially reaffirm their choice of ND in their minds as the correct decision

And you're right recruiting is a slimy affair, but I think that BKand staff will make sure these guys stay Irish

I wouldn't normally do this, but Shepard is the keystone of this recruiting class. We can't afford to lose him; especially not when we have the means to dispel Kiffin's bullsh!t within our grasp.

I dont need to reach out to Tee. ya me and him talk and have talked and some stuff i wont share. I have said this before and i will continue to say this he loves Notre Dame and everything it stands for. He knows about stats and this and that. Nothing needs to be said that he doesnt already know. People need to stop telling him what to do i think and writing in that stupid bang bang notre dame gang telling these 18 year old kids what to do. I know that irked Tee cause it makes our fan base look pathetic. I believe Tee will end up at Notre Dame. People need to remember its THERE decision and not ours. He will do whats best for him and i will root for the kid no matter what.

I'm not surprised that USC could put on an enticing pitch. They obviously do a good job selling themselves - they recruit the best athletes in the country every year. I do feel that if Tee and Deontay made it off of that campus still committed to ND, then they likely came as close as they will to flipping.

Like any other sales pitch where they're trying to sell you something that - deep down - you don't really want, they need to sell you right then. Once you walk away then logic can creep back in and you'll make a rational decision.

I'm sure Kelly & Co. have talked to them since they left USC (pretty sure I read confirmation on that somewhere). If that is the case I feel OK with where we're at. Our guys have proven themselves in the recruiting game. Hell, Tuitt flipped late last year and Kelly got on a plane and talked him back into fold within 24 hours.

I don't know it's not a big deal or anything just wanted to understand what you were trying to say if I was misunderstanding it or if it was more of a platitude. Really nothing to see here.
