If Armstead commits as a DL, which is unlikely but still within the realm of possibility, I believe Jones switches to O-Tackle. I to would love to keep him on D but if that situation happens, idk if we have enough room (literally ;)) for two 6'8" D-lineman. Though it would be interesting to have a D-Line the size of Wisconson's O-Line.

JUST FOR FUN

LT - Armstead 6-8
LG - Springman 6-6
C - Nix 6-3
RG - Tuitt 6-5
RT - Jones 6-8
TE - Lynch 6-6

That would have been great back in my time when the guys had to go both ways. Four man D-front with Lou at Mike and Aaron at one OLB? [Niklas at the other].

[.....there's so much goofy about this, but it would make a great comedy movie].

I see Jarron being the Big Lou of this class when it comes to personality. Maybe a bit shy and may get a bit homesick at first, but will really come into his own, show his funny side, and become a fan favorite.

Is it for sure he'll play d-line?

I feel like he'd be elite either way, but our d-line is less of a concern that our o-line imo.

I respectfully disagree. This guy has the potential to be unstoppable one on one and could force a double team. That leaves Lynch,Tuitt,Nix etc getting a one on one. Once we can actually get pressure on opposing QB's with our front 4 our back 7 will look much better. Besides uncertainty at center moving forward I feel very confident in our O line. jmho..

i foresee a lot of 4-3 formations in our future!!!!! too many elite freak athletes to not keep them on the field

Any of those guys could demand a double team. Things are definitely looking good up front.

no diggity, no doubt! I am practically foaming at the mouth waiting to watch all these freaks fully developed and exploding off the ball, blowing by the O line and 2-3 of the above mentioned beasts lifting the quarterback in the air and burying him 2 feet below the earth!

It is great to see we are landing some playmakers on offense, but there is absolutely nothing better than seeing a crowd of Gold Helmets on top of a quarterback. GO IRISH!!!

When was the last time ND really had a down right, nasty, eat you alive and spit you out attitude? Late '80s?

'93 eh? Wow. I was born in '86 so I am craving for the days a lot of you were blessed enough to see.

Seems like we are headed that way.

And most of the elite athletes are on the D-Line, not in the LB corps. That remains a need. Where's Stonebreaker when you need him?

How is the '13 class shaping up as far as LB's are concerned? Seemed like BK's plan was D-line last year and secondary this year.

I think last year was primarily bigs. This year primarily skill. Next year may be the year for big skill.

Linebacker is a must for next year. I dont think we have recruited one since BK got here. I also think running back is a must

Grace and Councell left out in the cold by you, huh? lmao

Also, yes RB will be a must. We lose at least one after next year.
