Guessing it's the same info from Rivals. Visit went well and BK told him to hang tight because a scholarship is coming soon?

And I can't remember but is Miles an ILB or OLB? I'll look for it too but if somebody knows off hand that would be great.

I think Diaco likes bigger ILBs and we already have good depth there. Makes more sense outside.

Same thing I posted before really liked the visit. Kelly said offer will come soon. I think he would actually be a good fit at DOG for us. He seems to be solid in coverage from the film I have seen of him.

I can't find a 40-time for Miles anywhere, but if he's relatively fast for a LB (4.6-4.7) and is good in space, sign him up! Dog OLB is our #1 position of need right now.

i'm puzzled why we didn't offer him today? i don't like the offer will be coming soon...hopefully it only has to do with simple admission issues.

I'd guess that after what we just went thru with Rios, there going to ake sure that he has no problems with the admissions office.

I have to think that waiting on word from Admissions is the only reason the staff would tell him that. Is there any other reason?

I dont think its an admissions problem. Berkeley is one of the premier prep schools in all of Florida, arguably the country, and the worst student there most likely would be able to "get through" admissions here.

In all honesty... I think its Manti. That's the only thing that makes sense to me, unless its admissions which I just dont see being an issue for him.

Schyler puts ND at the top of his list. Premium article on ISD.

I think it's really cool that a kid from Florida, with an offer from Florida, still lists ND as numero uno and he doesn't even have an offer (yet).

Hope it works out, Schyler.

Let the staff do their job. If he gets an offer good for him, if he doesn't so what.

thanks for your input...ha

you obviously never were in or involvoed in a situation where some of these kids wait by there phone and computer and beg for an offer. yes it's a dirty business, but treat kids like human beings not pieces of meat.

this is the part of recruiting i hate the most and regardless what anyone says it and i will never change.

Wasn't it reported the other day that BK told him to just be patient and that an offer most likely was coming?

If I'm somewhat correct in that, what would BK be waiting for before he offers?

I wanted to play college hockey and never got the chance because of a bad shoulder injury. Getting offers and interest taken away is not very pleasant... It can suck sometimes, but it's life. What can you do.

They were completely honest with him. They told him that there are guys on their board that are ahead of him, and they have to wait until things shake out. This is not an Urban Liar situation at all. Say what you will about the ND coaches, but they are ALWAYS up-front with recruits - if there are guys ahead of them on their board they say so, and if they pass on offering you they will tell you why. I really respect that about them, and you bet that high school coaches do too.

The good thing is that Shyler REALLY wants that offer and is willing to wait. His dad just raves about ND in that ISD article and says that Shyler does too, and basically, the day ND offers is the day Shyler commits.

as long as that's the case...i have absolutely no problem with that. unfortunately, however, there are far too many instances that go un-reported about coaches that lead kids on and smash there hopes simply b/c they are not willing to make a simple phone call or send an email...trust me folks, first hand experience not by me, but with players i've coahced and it's not fun for them.
