Doesn't China actually own ND now? :smilewink
What do we gain out of playing in Ireland aside from novelty points? This is no different.
by that logic, then why doesnt MSU play a game in greece? why doesent USC play a game in Turkey? (original land of Troy) i would love to see The University of Virginia Cavaliers play a game in France!and our mascot is the Fighting Irish........

Well i guess the next question, if this does happen, would be "does Yao Ming have a brother that can play TE?"
Why all the negativity? What's the harm?
It'd be the last game of the year, so the travel impacts would be minimal (and basically equal for both teams). It's not a home game for us, so the "tickets" argument seems less relevant (like it's hard to get tickets anyway). We're playing in Ireland next year; how is this so different?
Seems like a fine way for Notre Dame to do something interesting that opens up new markets, at least a little. And, yes, I do think this gives two of the best universities in the U.S. a little extra boost in attracting Chinese students.
