How exactly, do you presume to know that? Even the twitter stalkers don't know what they say on the phone or in e-mails, etc. I would be surprised if they don't share information about Notre Dame and any other colleges that are recruiting them...after all their friendship is based largely on their common experiences during the recruiting process.

The reality is that no one knows what Marshall and Darby talk about in private except for them. No amount of articles, facebook stalking or twitter bombing will change that. So let's give the "this is how it is, _____ is going to ______ and that's final" statements a rest. It's silly.

Like how Manti admittedly was going to commit to USC? Every situation's different, just sayin. If you were a betting man, of course you'd have to put money on him going to Georiga. But who knows. He visited for our biggest game of the year, has a close relationship with one of our current commits, and I'm sure the staff is all over his nuts. We've played our hand about as well as we could (minus laying an egg vs. USC), let the cards fall as they may.

Exactly, Jordan Prestwood made it to tallahassee and was cookin eggs for Jimbo and still ended up here! So dont dash out our dreams when we all know thats what they r n sometimes they just do happen.

Prestwood followed Lynch to FSU, once Aaron saw the light, guess who transferred...

The bottom line is, as it HAS ALWAYS been is: We are lucky enough to have a few, true "insiders" on this board.

While what they say may not be what you want to hear, they are usually accurate.

I didn't see it posted here yet but 247 reported that Marshall was talking about he and Darby trying to play in the same All-Star game. It had nothing to do with recruiting. Nothing to worry about here as far as Darby is concerned. He's solid.

Had a good visit to Clemson last weekend. South Carolina will get his last visit. Decision in early December per II.

I think we are far from eliminated. He also enjoyed his visit to SB. I think it will be a race to the end, but unfortunately no surprises here. I still think he is all Georgia.

Keep fighting the good fight all you want, but it doesn't mean that all recruits feel this way, Marshall included. He's been a Georgia lean since the jump, and the only way we had a great chance was if Georgia sh!t the bed an ND killed it this season. Neither has happened. The USC was a real downer, and meanwhile his Clemson trip was off the hook.

Might as well get used to the fact that not all kids want an ND degree above everything else, and that other schools have a lot of attractive things to offer as well.

We base our "opinions" on information, and we infer his decision based on what we've read and heard. If you follow recruiting long enough, you'll notice that you can usually guess it 90% of the time.

I'm so tired of these statements. Sure, we have insiders and people that read everything they can on a prospect. Both of these can lead to some very accurate guesses, but they are still guesses. I hate when people talk in absolutes like this, because no one knows 100% where a kid is going but them. Not 247, not ESPN, not Rivals not ANYONE can reach into a recruit's mind and get this answer. That's why we have these threads, to discuss a prospect. So let's give the "case closed" crap a rest. Because as Teo, Prestwood, Lynch, etc have taught us that it's not over till its over.

Btw, I think Marshall is UGA bound too, I just am guessing that off of everything that I read about him. So while I am not hopeful that he ends up Irish, I am not going to act like anyone that thinks there is hope is an idiot, which is exactly what these statements of absolute do. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
