I feel like notre dame is in a better position because they are winning but if they were having a losing season it would be ugly

No doubt, everything you say as the head coach of Notre Dame has got to be carefully chosen. One of the many traits that makes Kelly the right guy for the job.

No hats or earrings in the facilities? That seems a little excessive to me. Not to mention counterproductive in this day-and-age.

Sounds like they have some serious internal issues. Will be interesting to see how they show up, especially with so much transfer talk. Will they just give up on the season and play with no heart? If they do, Saturday could be ugly for the terps.

I'll see what I can find out. For once I have an inside source on something.

I don't blame them. They are having a lousy year. On top of that, they have to take the field wearing those awful uniforms. Mentally, ND is in a good spot and they should be able to handle Maryland. They could use a few good wins before the Stanford battle.

Remember when Edsall's name was in the mix for the ND spot? Guess we got lucky.

Friedgen got so hosed at MD it's unbelievable. He brought a program that was a pure afterthought to quasi-relevance and a number of successful seasons... just to get tossed to the curb. Heard a rumor he burned his diploma too.

Hopefully Maryland sports get back on track. Debbie Yow and her incompetence really cost that university a lot. I still love the Terps from growing up watching Juan Dixon & Co. play under Gary Williams. It was so sad watching a 1/3 full Byrd stadium for the game against Virginia... this may be the lowest I've ever seen the program.

I don't believe that there is any reason to bad mouth Coach Edsall. He's a good coach who will install a solid program just like he had at Connecticut. We however ARE much luckier to have Coach Kelly. Our coach is a twenty-first century movin'-with-the-times and ahead-of-the-curve coach while Coach Edsall is a hard-nosed but relatively unimaginative old styler. He is probably your prototypical 7-8 wins coach who will upset you if you don't play your best. Everybody should give them both a chance to show what they can do. Kelly's a 10-11 win coach; Edsall's less so, but maybe "winning" is all Maryland wants.

It's not a rumor. It actually happened.

We were not allowed to wear hats in buildings either. It simply is a respect, attention to detail thing and it weeds out the kids not buying into the system. If you can't remember to take your hat off can you remember the snap count is on three when it's third and one and game is on the line. You might be surprised how the little things matter. Like how ND has locker room checks every Sunday evening.
