Read two rumors from the four horsemen lounge on rivals that elude to us leading for nelson. 1 said that we lead, our competion is usc,we're recruitng him as saftey (sounds out there) and schyler miles is too undersized to get an offer and 2) that a poster from florida gators board said that Nelson is definently going out of state. The second would seem to confirm that 1) was correct in stating its and ND USC battle. Only time shall tell.

I feel a lot worse after hearing this. If it came down between ND and Florida I actually like our chances, but I know that he's always loved SC and that really concerns me. Hopefully we'll pull it out, should be a battle. But where do you see where do you see we're recruiting him as a safety?

Safety sounds out there, though it might explain why we seemed to step up our pursuit of another receiver even after seemingly putting ourselves in good position with Nelson. I'd rather he be on offense though.

When he made his official visit didn't he say the staff told him was going to be Floyd's replacement and didn't we already offer Schyler? Just doesn't sound right.

He definitely alluded to us needing playmakers on offense to replace Floyd.

I'm not too worried about it.. I think Kelly and co. are putting the full court press on for this kid, ala Diaco 4 a.m. style.

We did not offer Schyler and yeah that's why I found it far fetched.

i think putting him in the defensive backfield would be a mistake, idk hoe devaris daniels is doing in practice, but were gunna need more offensive firepower after floyd. boy is this kid something tho, would you guys rather have him or Kieth Marshall?

That's a tough question but I'm going to go with Marshall. We already have Greenberry, Ferguson and Brown coming in as receivers and Marshall is the ELITE back we usually miss out on.

Marshall because I think Cierre goes pro after next year and I'm not sure about our RB depth.

I said Marshall initially, but Agholor's more versatile. You could probably have a package for him out of the backfield, in addition to what he offers at receiver. I think he can also play outside and in the slot.

I wouldn't mind having an athlete like Nelson on defense. Like Kelly says, we can manufacture offense, but you have a much more difficult time masking limited athletic ability on the defensive side of the ball.

Hes being recruited as a WR. Nelson was told that and Nelson has also reported him getting recruited as a WR and was told he could get Floyds number 3. Unless Jake Brown or Sampson or TJ report it i dont believe it. Go to the main board on rivals and you have millions of rumors where Nelson is going. Amazing how many connections posters have to Berkley Prep these days.

This. One of my best friends goes to Berkeley and is veryyy close to nelson, and even she doesn't get anything out of him. He keeps to himself a lot, so to be honest I find any rumor hard to believe unless it comes out of Nelson's mouth. They (my friend and nelson) talk almost every week about his future and he keeps his plans to himself, so I find it very hard to believe the words of anyone who has "inside info" on Berkeley.

And rightfully so.

I'm all for loading up on defense, but there's also a need for elite playmakers at the skill positions, particularly fast playmakers at the skill positions.

Preface this by saying what I have heard is just from someone who reads some BGI and II stuff but he also said he sees Nelson ending up at Safety. I think the staff is recruiting Nelson as an athlete I see him getting his first look on offense you never know but we currently have three very good wrs committed while still in the running for two more and we have two good and solid but not playmaking safeties.

So all in all we will probably see Nelson on offense but we will see when/ if he comes to ND

“@BGI_JasonSapp: MT @BigCountyPreps1 If you are a Nelson Agholor fan, watch him get off in this video. 280 yards on 20 carries With Video: Half Man, Half Amazing…Nelson for President, BP wins big

The article above is a good read, but if you don't have time or don't know how to read, here is the video.

Think how many more yards he would have gotten if that pesky endzone wouldn't have gotten in the way.

i like the fact that he's playing running back...gonna make him tougher to tackle at wide receiver next year. if he was playing receiver in high school he would never be getting tackled and it would be an adjustment for him when he gets to college
