Just for fun, what if you only had one TV in your house and you weren't able to flip back and forth between games (No DVR-ing, going to a friends/bar, or watching online, etc). Now I'm as big of a ND fan as anyone, but I'm also a fan of college football. A #1 vs #2 regular season game between rivals is a once in a decade kind of game.

Mods - This is my first attempt at a poll-thread, so if members can't see the poll please delete.

As great a game as LSU-Bama may be, Notre Dame truimphs all. I'll watch #1 - #2 on Sunday morning.

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I couldn't pass up a #1 vs #2 rivalry game. Even in national championship games rarely is there the rivalry dimension.

Shouldn't even be a question. ND over everything except family. And even then... sometimes...

This isn't even a question. I'd watch my team all day. I'm sure Bama/LSU will be a great game, but prolly a snoozer with those defenses. Or maybe a lot of points from defenses. Either way, **** the SEC, I'll be watching ND.

I just don't think I could get into the LSU Alabama game. I scream, yell, jump around during an ND game. I rarely if ever do that with any other game. Unless it is a BCS game then I choose a team that I want to win. But this game is a regular season game, no reason to root for them, at this time.

Start gambling! Then you will yell at every game. :eek:grin:

How about Brian Wilson's guest appearance on College Gameday. Herbstreit: "Arkansas Razorbacks vs. South Carolina Gamecocks, who you got?" Brian Wilson: "Never bet against a ****, I'm going with the *****". Haha

Herbstreit was red in the face laughing so hard. It was really funny. I love the fact that he doesn't care at all.

Sorry, but how is this even a question for true Irish fans? We talk about the Irish 365 days a year, we obsess over games, recruiting, quotes from coaches, personnel moves, etc etc , and we get only 12-13 of these games a year (then it's back to the lonnnnnngggg off-season where we're pining for games and complaining about how long the off-season is)...and you want to skip a game?

No way in hell, at least for me. I'll be watching the ND game, and I'll be DVR-ing both games so I can flip to the Bama game while ND is on commercial. #1-#2 is great, and I'm completely interested in it, but nothing beats ND football for me.

I will be watching a game that matters in college football.....BAMA VS LSU

Par for the course for you. Reading through your posts, I see why you have the red dots.

It wouldn't matter if it was a FCS school playing ND, that game would be on no matter what. Trust me, I get it, the LSU-Bama game is gonna be ridiculous. It is this years national championship game. But no game, no team, and nothing short of birth or an emergency would ever stand in the way of "this guy" watching his beloved Irish!!

I hate tattoos and I have a leprechaun tattooed on my shoulder, I've been to 3 games, traveling out of state to each of them and I'm a broke college student. I think it's a legit question because although I am a true Irish fan, I can appreciate a once in a decade game. Not saying there's a right answer, but just cause I would choose the Bama LSU game, does that exclude me from being a true ND fan? I don't think so. If this were ND vs. USC/Michigan, or we were undefeated and playing for a BCS game against anyone, my answer would be different. All things considered (also, that IMO we handle Wake) leads me to choose the LSU Bama game.

It's Notre Dame all the way. But let's make OP's question a little more interesting. It's either watch the ND game by yourself, at home, with NO BOOZE or snacks, on a 20" TV, and no switching channels or internet updates on the other games. OR watch only LSU vs Bama at a sports bar with huge projection TVs, a free buffet, & FREE BOOZE served to you by Victoria's Secret models.

I'd still choose Notre Dame, but that's because I'm Irish Catholic and I like to suffer because it builds character. And those Victoria's Secret models are all stuck up anyway.

I can't really see a "true" ND fan watching some other game, regardless of the circumstances. I mean, you anticipate the fb season for 9 months and then you don't watch the games?

Someone just tell Alabama that winning doesn't give them their 37th "National Championship". That ridiculousness is what I hate the most about the Crimson Tide.
