Our run defense the last 2 games has been anything but good. This game really scares me and i have said all season that this game scares me. We are going to need to improve alot on the run defense and if they don't come up with a good game plan we will get beat by Navy again.

I was just looking at stats for Navy. Their run defense is 96th and passing is 102.

ECU's QB hit 26 passes in a row in the first half against Navy to set an NCAA record. He finished 40 of 45 for 372 yds, 3 TDs, 0 Ints.

ECU lead the nation in Turnover but didn't make any against the Middies.


Navy's QB Proctor was knocked out of the game in the 2nd Q with an elbow injury after he was roughed after a pass. (He's a question mark for the ND game.)

Navy's backup QB Trey Miller was 5 for 12 for 126 yds and 2 TDs. Navy was down 31-21 in the 4th Q until he hit 59 yd and 37 yd TDs to take the lead. ECU regained the lead with 2 minutes left in the game. Navy drove down the field and Miller had a 3rd TD dropped when the receiver hit the ground in the end zone. Navy tried a FG to tie as time expired but it hit the upright on a 42 yd FG.

Navy is 2-5 with NO QUIT.

They lost to South Carolina by 3, 24-21.

They lost to AF by 2, 35-34.

They lost to Rutgers by 1, 21-20.

They lost to ECU by 3, 38-35 as time expired.

They've only been beaten soundly once 63-35 by Southen Miss.

They'be been held below 34 points in a game only twice by SCA and RU.


ND will get back on track but Navy should still grind out yards and still score a couple of TDs.

AF is a much better team than Navy IMO. I think the boys will rebound and beat up the ugly goat triple option.

I haven't seen him play but from the stats at least against ECU, Miller isn't the runner Proctor is. Proctor was 6-28 before getting injured. Miller was 13-36. FB Teich was 12-41. John Howell 7-49, Gee Gee Greene was Navy's big gainer 8-92.

Navy may have their own George Atkinson. Marcus Thomas returned a 90 yds kick for a TD against ECU.

1) Diaco cannot defend the option
2) Both DEs are out and Lynch is only a competent run defender

I agree with Lax, maybe not the score but a blowout. Air Force was dominating Navy for most of there game, if memory serves me correct.

ND dominated Air Force until they put 2nd and 3rd stringers in in the 4th quarter.

Especially if the atmosphere is as electric as the USC game

Personally I think we're going to see Fleming and Shembo have the best games of their careers.

This team is full of fighters and they will rebound terrifically. If they don't, the season is probably lost.

I was just hoping for the music part, seemed like they played it a lot. I know if I am in the gym or something I may get disinterested but once I hear a good song I get pumped up and hype. As was the fans, it seemed through my tv anyways.

That is one thing I wish I could have experienced all the games I was at.
