Nah, just started the group as trying to get everyone to wear a single color, hoping it would spread to the media. It has, but I guess through different channels.

No inside info, really no one does. They're being really tight lipped about this one.

Just FYI, it was the Leprechaun who tweeted about wearing green to match the team. Not Ryan Grooms.

Let me set the record straight: Though I was/still am a hippie and a huge fan of the Grateful Dead, I have never owned or worn anything tie-dyed. Not even a bandana to corral my long, flowing hair. My son, years ago, picked up a tie-dyed Bob Marley shirt at a Thrift Shop for a 60's-themed high school event. I informed him that Marley had nothing to do with the 60's (outside of Jamaica, but what the hell.

He tried to give it to me after. It was recycled in a Good Will donation bin. I hate patchouli. I only said "groovy" with my tongue in my cheek and my eyes rolling. I admit to a variation of "far out" that included a gerund beginning with an "f" in the middle.

As far as the new helmets are concerned – I like them. They are an updated version of the traditional and certainly appear a brighter gold than in recent years. I thought some in the past looked as much bronze as they gold.

I'm wonder how well decals will adhere to the irregular surface, but I'm sure something will be worked out.

Do you guys not understand that HCTI is like...a professional friendly troll?

He's phenomenal at getting you guys worked up. I know it's hard to not pay attention to him because of that luscious mane of hair he has, but come on, try harder! Just ignore him if he bugs you that much.

Fair enough, i just fail to see the point of trolling when all we are speaking about is a jersey. I have come to conclusion myself and HCTI would not be friends in real life.....hate to be a **** but its true lol

Tie-dye has already been done. The Trinidad and Tobago Junior Goodwill Games hockey team wore them. It didn't help them, though. The Ducks dominated the game.

Take back that patchouli comment this instant....

That's not tie-dye they're wearing. It's not random, each jersey is the same. It's just a bizarre design.

Sorry. Don't hate me!

So, are they still calling on the ND fans to wear green? I don't get it if they are passing out blue towels. Anyone?

well the towel color will have nothing to do with it... the towels were made by sprint, so there wouldn't necessarily a connection with the green-out and sprint's color choice. also, they've given out similar towels at every game, just not to everyone like they are tomorrow night. so these aren't special towels just for this game.

that being said, unless green shirts are handed out at the gate (highly unlikely) there is no chance of a green-out being successful with the lack of exposure it's gotten. some people need to be force-fed this green-out stuff in the form of a free green t-shirt, and if they aren't they won't wear green.

after all this, if the uniforms end up being gold, i will flip out.

gold jerseys are an abomination. nothing looks worse than a gold jersey with a gold helmet with gold pants.
