Let me set the record straight: Though I was/still am a hippie and a huge fan of the Grateful Dead, I have never owned or worn anything tie-dyed. Not even a bandana to corral my long, flowing hair. He tried to give it to me after. It was recycled in a Good Will donation bin. I hate patchouli. I only said "groovy" with my tongue in my cheek and my eyes rolling. I admit to a variation of "far out" that included a gerund beginning with an "f" in the middle.
As far as the new helmets are concerned – I like them. They are an updated version of the traditional and certainly appear a brighter gold than in recent years. I thought some in the past looked as much bronze as they gold.
I'm wonder how well decals will adhere to the irregular surface, but I'm sure something will be worked out.
