Lol A Angels fan calling us fair weather you guys show up around fourth inning and buy yourself a program so you can learn all the players names.Then when playoffs come around get really excited to get to booted in first round.

Settle down PatsBostonFan, its the forums, not the south side...

You might just get reps for that. Maybe

Get to Beer Works early for a basket of sour cream and chive fries or sweet potato fries. The is also the bar in the Green Monster that is pretty cool.
I don't know where you are staying but the walk up Comm Ave back to downtown is pretty cool on a nice summer night. Plus its better to walk and see the city then get stuck on the green line.

Haha thanks, but in my honest opinion the team will not leave and never will. for 2 reasons 1. You cant keep a team like the Pacers down for long because the managment is in place, just need the player support which is coming from a few years of high draft picks, 2 Basketball in Indiana, especially Indianapolis, is something that will never leave, its to engrained in our culture, much like in NC, this is a little risky but aw what the hell ill say it The Indiana Pacers are like ND's independence, they will remain constant, i vividly remember the state of jubilation this city went into when we finally reached the NBA finals, sure the Colts won the SB, but deep down, Indy is, has, and always will be, HoopTown USA

No doubt he has the ability, just needs the right team, he is definantly the kind of guy i want on the Pacers, after the Ron Artest fiasco, hes as BK would put it an RKG. I always rooted for him at UNC, who have recently become a fan of since Puke beat my favorite basketball team Butler (call me fair weather on this and ill punch u in the nose, my first butler game was on my 2 week birthday, weve had season tix since 1996,) anyways, i hope he does well in his career, wherever it takes him, unless its the Knicks.

Hansbrough owns dook. Lol. But yeah the dude was unbelievable to watch. I've seen a lot of good players, but he was far and away my favorite. He brought every second of every game. I wish there were more hansbrough's. College basketball would be a lot better

Definantly, he was kind of the Tim Tebow of CBB but without as much of the media attention, he just went out there and got it done, no questions asked, i was cheering on draft night when we picked him, he has nowhere to go but up!

Don't ever say it can't happen bubba...

No one ever thought the Browns....THE FREAKING BROWNS!!!! THE BIRTHPLACE OF FOOTBALL could be ripped out of our city.

They were...

And like the Grinch, my heart shrank a couple of sizes that day.

I also grew up in the sense that these teams have zero allegiances to us the fans. They'll go out and chase the all mighty dollar....same as the players. I'm sick of the whole f***ing thing.

Go Irish!!!!

If the Pacers leave Indianapolis, i will have only my Irish, and my Dawgs, if Butler somehow leaves, i will move into the Appalachians and live out my life a broken man

The worst part of this exchange is kinda like the Angels. I also love my Sox so here it goes ;);)2008 T.B. 3, Chicago 1 || Boston 3, Los Angeles 1
2007 Cleveland 3, NY 1 || Boston 3, Los Angeles 0
2004 New York 3, Minnesota 1 || Boston 3, Anaheim 0

Whoops - looks like I missed out on this thread for you GD - I would have told you to take a tour of the park in the morning - then hang around the area for the rest of the day - go to Cask and Flagon (rated #1 baseball bar in america whatever that means), hit up Game On, Beerworks for some food/good beer, and then hang out and relax at the game. I guess its too late now - but let us know how it was - always interested to know what others think of the Fens.

Yeah - are we talking about the Old Yankee Stadium? That place was just gross. I was on the way to a HS game down in the Bronx and before the game we stopped there to go on a tour - it just wasn't what I thought it would be - rather depressed about it actually.

talk about fans being a-holes. no one is as bad as boston fans. we went to baves last year and they were just plain stupid acting. same when i wen to watch game at old yankee stadium. there bad fans for every team and good ones for every team.

Yep a holes in every group... no exceptions... even Nebraska has their moments and their fans are Angelic most of the time... but some fan bases have much far more "shit" within their folds than the average fan base...

I have been to dozens of Yank/Angel games and dozens of Sox/Angel games... Yankee fans do tend to be loud and obnoxious... A lot of Sox fans are more pretentous, more obnoxious, and seem as though they LITERALLY go to the game with the sole purpose of finding other teams fans and then going out of their way to ruin those people's experience...

I have experienced things with dozens of different sox fans that would top the list of just about anyone's worst fan experience list... I have not experienced anything close to this with Yankee fans... annoying as they can be.

I was hoping we could have. I'm actually hoping to try to get down to the new stadium at some point. I'm not a Yankee hater - I am very respectful of the Yankees - but it gets under my skin when someone uses the 26 rings say hello nonsense - I've probably heard it about 1000 times when I was in college.

Nonetheless - have you gone to the new Yankee Stadium yet?

To be honest - it's probably the same as taking in a game at the old Yankee Stadium prior to it closing. Like Wrigley, etc. It's got small seats, small aisles, and long beer lines. It's the thought of being there the first time that is really pretty cool and you'll definitely love it - but if you think about it from purely a "how nice is this stadium" look - you'll be disappointed. But if you take it for what it is - a cathedral of baseball - it's probably tops.

Be sure to toss it out here before you go for advice of what to do while you're there - doing the normal sightseeing stuff is fun - but theres other places to see around the area that are more worthwhile.
