I hope if we are up by 30 in the fourth, that we are still running the full offense, going for 2 point conversions and trying to run the score up.

I don't blame you...the poodle used to run up the score on ND all the time. i remember in Willingham's last game they called a fake punt when they were up like 30 or something.

Poor Lane has it so rough!!! (he only has got the jobs he has gotten because of his dad or because he gives increidable....nevermind)

When a game is based entirely on polls, running up the score is not a bad thing at all. We need to win by a lot over teams. Crushing USC's spirits should just be an added benefit.

Can you say QB controversy... j/k. That's a beautiful scenario you describe, I hope it happens... I still remember the fake punt sneaky Pete ran while they were way up against one of Ty's teams back when Palmer was there. Punter didn't even attempt to complete a pass, just lobbed the ball down field and drew a pass interference. I hope we crush USC.

I mentioned that punt earlier in the thread. I'm pretty sure it was Ty's last year as coach and Lienart was the QB.

ummmmmm....what game were u watching? crist hasn't played since the 2nd quarter of the usf game...if you're thinking of andrew hendrix,who did play,he did VERY well.He didn't affect the outcome,us putting in our 3rd string defense against AF did that.

Yes and no. Vs. Ty he did that stupid thing, but Carroll literally could have beaten ND by 80 points in '07 and '08, and he called off the dogs big-time. I was at both games, and it was men against boys, and Petey had his back-ups playing very early on and they weren't even throwing the ball. He showed a ton of mercy...
