I wish I could've made it longer but the song I found was only a minute and a half long so I had to squeeze as much in there as I could in that time. At least I got the lynch sack in there. Favorite play of the year so far.

Don't get "bat's" in your stomach I think ND will win by at least 10. I am on a diet and have ate nothing but baked chicken breast and spinach. I have not drank since the Purdue game because I need to lose 40lbs but that day I will be drinking and eating whatever I want.

I don't think I've ever looked forward to a game as much as this one.

I've wanted to attend the ND/USC game since I started watching the Irish, and my dream's come true.

When I learned the game was to be the first night game in 21 years, I called my contact immediately to ensure that I got those two precious tickets, and I did.

Just to let you know, I'll be screaming my lungs out THE ENTIRE GAME!

GO IRISH!

Dude, really? I'm just saying how I feel. I always hate having to wait the whole day for a game the anticipation wont be fun being at work with a bunch of haters that day wont be fun. But like I said if we win itll all be good, just like last year when I was so pumped I couldnt sleep for an early work day, and I walked into work mroe refreshed than I had ever felt :).

I won't be at this game, but if I were and I were AT ANY POINT told to sit down or be quiet by one of the ushers and were threatened with ejection from the stadium I would seriously go down swinging. If I hear even one story of somebody being told to sit during this game all of the ushers should be fired. This is one of the most important ND games of the last decade (maybe second only to the Bush Push game) and the crowd needs to be standing and yelling the whole game.

You'd catch a lot less flak around here if you didn't always feel unreasonably pessimistic. #JustSayin

I will be at the game with fiance, and we both plan to be on our feet for 60 minutes and hoarse for about a week afterwards. We are supposed to be leaving to come back home Sunday morning, but she is already on notice if I am asked to sit down during the game we are staying until at least Monday morning, and as many more days as it takes for me to personally find Jack on campus and let him know it is complete bullshit that he specifically asks the fans to make the stadium louder, but then we are asked to sit down. Since the beginning of the sporting arena, it has been a staple that when you make noise, you get on your feet.
And to clarify, if some old turd behind me asks me to sit down, it ain't happening. If its people with a little kid who cant see, Ill put the kid on my shoulders before I sit down.

Ive been to a few ND games, and never been told to sit down. People actually cause a fuss, and get ushers involved because you're standing and cheering?

If that were to happen to me, I would turn around, and tell the cry-baby sissy *** that he is the reason ND hasn't won anything in 20 years, and the reason opponents laugh at the thought of any home field advantage at ND. Now, go take your glass of pino noir, and get the hell out of my stadium....theres a new sheriff in town.

I don't know if this has a correlation but when I first started going to ND games we had to get the cheap tickets all the way at the top, one game we actually were against the wall. But when we sat up there people were crazy and standing all the time. I lost my voice a few times.

As I got older and more connections were made within the stadium we were able to sit alot lower and closer to the field. Next to the "older" generation. We were looked at with the evil eye. Our connection told us he would find us a better place to sit, but we knew its because someone said something to him.

I actually seen a guy falling asleep one time. I don't know why anyone would want to go to a game and fall asleep or be completely uninterested. But I bet they will be the same people to complain if ND loses or doesn't win a championship.

I'm with all of you. I will be the loudest person on the planet that day. I'm doing everything in my power not to lose any of my voice this week. I will not sing with the radio on the way up to ND. I plan (as everyone should) on finding lots of really loud things to put on my key ring so I will be even louder on third downs. I might even sneak in some hot tea to keep my vocal chords alive after I've killed them during usc's first drive. And I don't even like tea...

Also I feel the need to plug that the students are making a concerted effort to make this a green out so wear green and tell everyone else that knows anyone else that will be at the game to FREAKING WEAR GREEN.

I think am more excited for this game than I've ever been for anything in my life. Don't just beat usc. KILL THEM!

why can't all of notre dame stadium be made up of people from this board?

90% of us would be thrown out within 5 minutes for screaming obscenities toward BK/our own players. Also, i will be at this game and i cant freaking wait. 6. more. days.

it is...

look we have to yell extra hard b/c we are respectful enough to allow familys grandparents etc.. at the stadium.... when you hold the door etc. for an older lady/man at ND it's b/c she/he earned it.. yep we all get old but we never stop cheering on the Irish as well as we can....

i can only speak for myself and yes i love ND i won't sugar coat it....
1. the crowd has done the wave in 2 of the three games i went to in last 2 yrs... Western Mich/Pitt 10 AF 11
2. the second game sat next to an older lady 50+ and she was a diehard for 25 yrs been to every game and she stood and cheered with me and my girl and the crowd was amazing...
3. in every game i've been to never saw anyone telling ppl to set down or sleeping fans lol...
4. every game i saw mom and dads with children having a blast everyone helping with crowd pushups, couples taking pics together cheering all become one when the game starts it's so great to be with 80,000+ irish fans watching breathing ND football... go irish
5. Main thing is you enjoy yourself and don't worry about it... you made the trip now enjoy yourself and i hope you see the Irish beat USC....

hahah i know they'd never do this, but for one game, maybe against BC or something, only admit 18-40 year old men, that would be loudest funniest game ever from a crowd perspective.

..I know how you feel. I get that way too...alot of guys who actually played the game get that...old habits die hard...been 20+ years, and I sure as hell didn't play for ND...yet there they are "bats" every time ND has a big game...conditioned response I guess...

All I can tell you is...after Michigan State last year, Michigan this year...you can't really be scared of a more gut wrenching loss. As well, team appears to be clicking now...I think they are ready for SC...

I think they win if they take care of the ball...they win convincingly if they turn SC over a couple times...way possible. Think Michigan state...Think Qb hurries...not even sacks really.

I bet we see USC run some of that unbalanced shtuff Michigan state ran on us...we'll also see fades at GG... If we play good fundamental ball on D...I think we win.
