Ok. I know a lot of people won't like to hear this and I'll probably have to duck after saying this, but here goes...

I really am not impressed with this kid at all. I don't like his film at all. He doesn't look fast, he goes down easily, not physical, good elusiveness though.

The recruiting services aren't that high on him either. Some have actually down graded him after the 7 on 7 tournaments. He just isn't explosive.

I love his film. He doesnt move when he runs, you can put a coffee cup on his head and not spill a drop. The most natural runner i have seen in a long time. Kid has skills

I agree to disagree with you. He is slow, I think even to slow for the slot.

Anyway the best natural runner I've seen recently was Carnel Williams, with Shady McCoy second.

RB KeiVarae Russell (Mariner HS, Wash.) will visit Notre Dame for USC game. Looking to set up an official visit to USC during the season.

Current Top 5 of Washington, Cal, USC, ND, and Boise.

Cal, USC, and ND will for sure get visits.

It's all about the visit and what the experience is like for this kid. If we can make a good impression then we have a decent shot.

I still think he ends up at Cal or USC.

He had 284 yards and 4 TDs in his first game this year. (He missed the first game after a concussion, he wrecked a moped) They won 28-24. I might go watch him in the next couple of weeks. I should look into Banner and Garnett too.

I take back what I said. From a post on 24/7, It is shaping up to be a Cal, ND, Washington battle.

I'd prefer a USC - Cal - ND battle, honestly. UW is frustratingly good at getting their in-state talent.

I think him being close to his parents and from what he said loving the state of Washington he wont leave the state. Washington kids usually stay home.

Is his leader Washington? or Cal? I can't recall.

I'm thinking he sticks in state.

No leaders most think Washington has the best shot to land him at this point.

Any chance Oregon makes a legitimate push? I'd think that any RB being recruited to play in the Chip Kelly system would be interested.

Not sure. I would be kind of surprised if KeiVarae didnt end up a Husky. I do like ND's chances though if we blow him away.

Did he make the trip for the SC game? Haven't heard anything about him lately.

I'm not about to leak premium board info, since that's what killed the old IE anyway, but I'll give you a teaser:

"It was crackin', I liked it"

It appears you're one of IE's only members with a Scout subscription. Paraphrase! It's your duty -_-

We had the opportunity to hear one of the assistant coaches speak of the kind of people Notre Dame wanted to attract. They wanted hard-working young men who were also school leaders. Since KeiVarae (like Lakes High School’s Zach Banner) maintains a near 3.9 grade point average, and since he has been president of the junior class and the Student Body, he has more than filled that requirement. The main thing about KeiVarae, as well as Zach, is that they are so easy to like. On the ride to Notre Dame (we took the same shuttle) all he talked about was the offensive line (Martin Martinez, Derrick Meyers, Justin Blunk, Hector Ruiz, and Andrew Santos) and the amazing holes they had opened up for him and the other backs, and he spoke of QB Gabe Dye’s leadership as key for their victory over Jackson the previous night. It wasn’t “Me” he was talking about, it was “Us”.

The Notre Dame Experience
