Joseph Jackson is similarly undersized for OLB, and his combine numbers are less impressive.

We offered him a long time ago. And we've offered lots of kids. I wouldn't read too much into it.

So this newfound interest between Jackson and Notre Dame is mainly a product of Jackson's decommitment and his expressed interest in taking an OV? Because if the coaching staff has suddenly stepped up their recruiting of Jackson in light of Perkins' decommitment, I would assume that they want an OLB with that specific physical profile for some reason.

Jackson is projected as an ILB in college so this offer has nothing to with Perkins, he got offered a long time ago and about a month ago one of our coaches went and watched his game so we have been actively pursuing him for some time now.
