This loss really sucks the air out of the room. There just aren't any excuses. Our QB situation is tough. Rees looked better but he's got to move the ball around beyond Rees and Eifert.

I'm tired of hype. It's time to shut up and prove it all on the field.

Tommy did move the ball around. He targeted Floyd a lot, but why wouldn't he? He caught nearly everything that came to him.

True. And it's not like other WRs were running around wide-open and Rees was trying to force it into Floyd.

I thought it was clear that Tommy was making quicker and more crisp reads than Dayne was. That meant that lots of people got the ball, but also that they got it on time.

I think you mean Floyd.

But who else was he going to throw too? Riddich and TJ had problems catching the ball, so of course he went to his two sure things.

I agree and it may be as much the play calls as his focus. Just seems like we only get one offensive weapon going at a time. It's either Woods running well and little else. Or Floyd gets hot and the running game disappears. 8 cylinders running but only 4 are firing, you know.

Doesn't matter how far Tommy can throw it. Dayne can throw it 30 yards no problem. 95 % of the time its incomplete.

But it's not like they shutdown the run. It was all-pass out of necessity.

All right, boys. I'm off to bed.

This sucked, but I'm not nearly as wrecked as I was last year by a few of those losses.

Defense looked damn good (except one drive) and we can't possibly have a 0-5 turnover ratio the rest of the year. Waaaay out of character for the team, as evidenced by the numbers last year.

All the best to Dayne. All the best to our new starting QB, Tommy.

I would be willing to bet most of his passes were under 20 yards and the Wr's made a move or 2 to gain extra yards.

Wouldn't that also suggest that he's throwing receivers open and/or making the right read? All part of being the "right" choice.

I would take a QB who can throw 10 yards and the WR run for another 20 more yards over a QB who can throw 30 yards and not complete them

The loss sucks but it's not the end of the world (pretty darn close thought). I predict the team will be laser sharp next week especially with Rees running the offense. Crist is just not a good QB.

Don't forget Rees also had that 20 yard rope to Eifert -- just because he doesn't have the strongest arm doesn't mean he can't function effectively. Hell, Chad Pennington made the Pro Bowl, and his arm was worse than Rees's (post-injury). It's accuracy and decision-making that counts.

On another (more important) note: how was everyone able to watch the end of the game???? I only got Game Time: Tackling the Past. Was it on Versus or something?

Rees makes better decisions than Crist, and has a more accurate arm. Crist is all potential, no results.

All of you are obviously disappointed, so I'll keep this short.

Thanks for agreeing to play us. I'm not happy with how certain members of our fan base acted before game, as well as the trolls popping up here now like we're suddenly national title contenders (which we certainly are not).

Good luck on the rest of your season and I hope you go 11-1.
