Its been said before, but we gave them this game. 23-13 right now. 10 of those 23 points were due to Gray's fumble and Riddick's muff. We each missed a FG so that evened out even though ours was a gimme. Then you add in our three turnovers inside the 10. We should be up by 10-17 now. Game reminds me so much of Navy 09 I hate it.

Without sifting through all of these posts, I'm just going to throw it out there that this is now Tommy's team, and to add that I was COMPLETELY wrong about that kid. He has shown the moxie that Dayne hasn't been able to recreate since the TD to Rudolph in the Michigan game last year.

It was bittersweet to see Tommy take the field in the 2nd half, and it's obvious the QB battle was indeed that close. That early hook of Dayne sends the message that Dayne is just not going to be the man here, and I'd go one step further to say his 5th year isn't being offered. And this is coming from a HUGE Dayne supporter.

All IMHO, please debate respectfully.

This is my feeling as well.

I will try to update as best as possible when it comes on Versus, but as of right now it is just a movie.

Breaks my heart, too.

I liked Dayne, too but to me its apparent now that the QB battle is over -- Tommy won.

Guys, the game's not over, but even if we lose here remember -- Oregon lost the first game of the season last year, too.

Losing the first game isn't the end of everything. This is a GOOD USF team. They stay healthy, they have a good shot at being Big East Champions. We will be forgiven in the long run for losing to a conference champion in a close one.

This is nothing.

And, if TJ looks at Tommy and Ruffer makes a chip shot, we'd have put up 17 points this half.

Ok name me a legendary coach that had a team that didn't fumble all season?

We have been WAY more unlucky than untrained. The bounce of the ball.

Please tell me how the fumble was Kelly? Please tell me how BOTH picks were kelly? Both picks were a correct read. One was a bad throw, Crist, the other TJ has to look. Agian not Kelly. Quit being the pessimistic WE MUST WIN NATIONAL TITLES EVERY YEAR fan. They will come, but it doesn't happen overnight.

I watched, in person, Jimmy Clausen go 27/29, 404 yards, 5 TDs, zero picks LOSE to Navy because of poor defense, fumbles, and stupid penalties. Chuck was the head coach then. And I swore that it wasn't his fault.

I still believe in BK, but I'm more skeptical than ever.

Are people seriously already saying we should get rid of Kelly? SERIOUS? Some of you will never be happy.

Btw, after I did this research I was the BIGGEST BK fan...

Record (Grand Valley State, improved every year Brian Kelly was coach)
1999: 5-5
2000: 7-4
2001: 13-0
2002: 14-1 (D2 National Champs)
2003: 14-0 (D2 National Champs)
Record (Central Michigan, improved every year BK was coach)
2004: 4-7
2005: 6-5
2006: 9-4 (Conference Champs)
Record (Cincinnati’s record improved every year BK was coach)
2006: 8-5
2007: 10-3
2008: 11-3
2009: 12-0
Class rankings while BK was coach (Cincinnati)
2005: 70th (Zero 4/5 stars)
2006: 70th (One 4-star)
2007: 80th (Zero 4/5 stars)
2008: 51st (Zero 4/5 stars)

Still a BK believer, but you have to be objective. This was a joke of a loss.
